I was pondering that nonsense at the end; do you think the nod-nod wink-wink about the green t-shirt was a reference to Armada Megatron being revealed at Pulse-con? He kept talking about the colour rather than it being a MTG shirt.

I have no idea. My first thought was that we'd be getting a Botanica, but that can't be it. It was green, so we're getting another Devastator? Or it was kind of a wave pattern, so we're getting a Titan Tidal Wave? No idea.
Interesting to hear that Mark wanted to do Pretenders properly, but realised he couldn't because of limitations of each of the size classes. Also interesting that there was a poll put up on the stream as to whether people wanted proper Pretenders or not, and it seemed to be the majority did. So we'll see if anything happens with that...

I still feel the best way to do proper pretenders is combining Titans Returns with a reworked Primemaster decoy armor.
Larger toy is a headmaster based on the inner robot. Headmaster comes off, and stuffs itself inside PM decoy armor based on the shell. And like... PotP Jazz could have very easily been retooled to accommodate this.

I remember the discussions we had here when the Pottop prime masters came out about how they couldn't be done properly within the size classes as they were, but these days we know a class isn't about size any more, it's about engineering complexity and plastic use. Mark was suggesting that to do a pretender with a shell it would potentially be a leader class toy but maybe only deluxe in physical height. His reaction suggested people wouldn't see those characters as significant enough to warrant that expense, but then the chat went OH YES WE WOULD.
I think if they were voyager price point the robot wouldn't be much bigger than a core to include the shell too, so would a line of leader scale pretenders sell so that the inner robots could be deluxe size? Not sure. The Dinobots have shown that people will stick with a leader scale group, but then they really are the A list celebrities when it comes to things like that. Personally, I'm always a sucker for a team so I'd go for it. It's also something different when we're now not only used to the same faces coming out repeatedly, but Hasbro are also running out of ideas for line gimmicks. Energon weapons are pretty poor even compared to ramp masters.
It might also work if the shells were sold separately, but that goes some way outside the business model.

Or it was kind of a wave pattern, so we're getting a Titan Tidal Wave? No idea. I know nothing about MTG and I can't find the symbol that was on his shirt online anywhere to see what it represents, but he was definitely pushing the colour more than anything. It was two shades of dark green, and looking at the list of leaks for 2023, Armada Megs is the only figure that fits that. We don't know what the Titan or Commander is for next year yet though, so the wave meaning Tidalwave would be very very exciting. He did also say during the Starscream segment that this hinted at more to come Armada-wise. The leak list doesn't really support the idea, but a big showing for Armada next year would be cool.

Unless they've been listening and Tidal Wave is to be the next Haslab Transformers project, which they'll reveal at Pulsecon next month.
Although if they are going to reveal that I really hope they only do one line, and not, like, a Haslab project for every single line. They should know now how that'll go.

If year two of Legacy is subtitled Evolution, I now feel sad for the first year not having its own name.
Also, evolution was on the earliest leaks for the first year of legacy. Wonder what happened there.

I'd love for it to be Beast Machines. Although we know it's not. Am intrigued by what the next crossover could be. Given we've had everything from Tonka to Top Gun I can't make any guesses at all. I look forward to this all being leaked over the next four weeks, anyway.
