Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, here's a three pack of these mini-buggers which are all nearly identical to each other. How can I pick a favourite when they're all mostly indistinguishable? I'll got Waterlog, just because he's a bit pointy - and that's the best I can do.

A really weak colour scheme to be used across a full team, but Waterlog.
I bought a X Dimension Float yesterday.
But now I really want that green Hover.

A really weak colour scheme to be used across a full team The Japanese version, tweaking the red and turning the purple to yellow, is miles better Generally this is attributed to the Japanese version going for cartoon accuracy and the animators changing the colours. But those colours appear first on the western card art. I'm wondering if the Japanese colours were the original colours and, like Tidal Wave, Hasbro made a very late in the day change There's another colouring problem that's generally pinned on the animators that I suspect may have been Hasbro: More on this Friday I quite like the modes here, with Oceanglide homaging Powerglide on multiple levels. But I think Waterlog's Hovercraft wins, a tip of the hat to Seaspray which is increased with the western repaint colours. The Japanese X-Dimension version pair fabulously well with Shockwave: they're the only X-Dimension team I currently own. Don't like the Micron Booster or DVD versions. No Cybertron repaint for this team! |

If you look at the colours and the red swirls, it's obvious the Unicron Battles team is homaging Tracks. |

Terradive doesn't impress me much in terms of looks, and whilst Thunderwing is a very nice alt-mode, the colour scheme on that Gunbarrel pips it for me. (If we were talking the unreleased Universe pack-ins, though, Thunderwing would walk this one easily.)
