Do you know I'd never noticed that. Wow. Are there any other instances where the Powerlinx repaint of an Armada toy is remoulded? I know the beast reuses were adapted to have minicon ports, but did any of the Armada originals change?

Don't think so. Starscream's Minicon gets dropped and replaced for Skywarp, and Metroplex's minicon bears a strong resemblance to Leader-1 but shares no parts
Of the teams the Air Defence and Street Speed have similar reshells in Energon & Cybertron.
Street Action is completely replaced in Energon

Sparkplug looks like the sort of generic supercar that the young son of an oil Emir in the UAE buys in order to drive up slowly to incredibly expensive hotels for very exclusive parties... Corona Sparkplug looks like the one-off customized edition of the same car that a tech-bro spends a ten or some milions of dollars having made, and which they don't realise is making everyone mutter about "new money" and shake their head at the same parties...

Sparkplug. The more subtle yellow works better for me. Corona Sparkplug is a little too bling for my liking I can see *WHY* they've done it, taking Sparkplug's Bumblebee homage tfwiki.net/wiki/Sparkplug_(Armada)#cite_note-0 and extending it by redoing him as Goldbug, but for me it would have worked better with a blue skeleton rather than red. The Takara versions indicate the skeleton is independent of the main Optimus mould so the red is a bit of an odd choice. |

We've exhausted all the initial coloured versions of the moulds we've looked at as teams or pack ins in the main polls: I have no intention of repeating this for every recolour.
There's four more weeks of recolours for the main poll, two weeks of teams then two weeks of Microns that were only available as individuals.
There may be some scope for comparing the teams of those individuals here and having a good moan about how hard it was to get a complete team.
There are new Minicons Teams in Energon (1 + a remould), Cybertron (2 + a repaint + a remould + 12 VS pack repaint pairs + 4 new pack ins) and Classics (6 teams)

That way, my great grandchildren might get the chance to vote for Waddlepop in the Botbots poll on my behalf.

Energon arrives 21st March. Just 4 weeks of main poll Japanese repaint Minicons to go and it's the good one this coming week |
