Repaints: Hotshot's Jolt has a Powerlinx repaint where he and Hotshot swap colours. He also has an unreleased version in close to his original colours Smokescreen's Liftor has a Battle in a Box repaint Blurr's Incinerator has a red repaint that comes with Universe Swerve. He has a Micron Booster repaint that ostensibly paired with Cybertron Blurr Optimus Prime's Over-run has a crystal repaint in Japan and has a slightly changed version with Battle in a Box Ultra Magnus. He's got a very similar repaint as Over Run who has a slightly different Japanese limited edition version Sideswipe's Nightbeat has the name that should have gone on his larger partner. He has TWO Battle in a Box "repaints", one of which is slightly different and another which is identical! His Micron Booster version ostensibly pairs with Cybertron Runabout Hoist's Refute is the only pack in with the gear gimmick. He has a Battle in a Box version with Hoist's repaint Ransack and a Micron Booster repaint that pairs with Cybertron Longrack

No, by itself not as such, but the designers are very clear that the blue car should have been called Nightbeat

A blue/car robot that looks nothing like G1 Nightbeat. Not everything has to be a homage!!!

It does: look like Nightbeat: head, colours. Would have looked even more so if the car had the intended flame deco See tfwiki.net/wiki/Side_Swipe_(Armada)#Notes for a report that Aaron Archer says the car was supposed to be Nightbeat

Absolutely has to be Refute. The pincer action is fantastic.

The head looks nothing like Nightbeat. It's coasting on car colours alone.

Yup.
Anyway: Nightbeat the minicon. Great bike mode, nicely weird robot and great interaction with car mode for Sideswipe. It gets my vote.

Refute is pretty good but I like the way Liftor looks. Nightbeat is rubbish, I really dislike it.

Absolutely has to be Refute. The pincer action is fantastic. Well it looks like I can't refute that. Of all of those I only have Over-Run (for some reason) who isn't bad, but Refute looks ridiculous and thus gets my vote.

Tough choice. Every single one of these has something going for it, there's great diversity here.
I've narrowed it down to Liftor and Nightbeat. Nightbeat I don't own, but he has such a distinctive looking robot mode with real personality and it looks like he has a neat transformation. Liftor has Mad Max vibes in vehicle mode, very distinctive design there, but a bit more traditional in robot mode.
Nightbeat edges it.

Crumplezone has a Powerlinx & Energon repaint plus a Micron Booster repaint as Trigger, ostensibly Cybertron Buzz Saw's partner. Blackout has Powerlinx & Energon repaints. He misses out when Demolishor returns in Cybertron :-( Rook is repainted as Energon Minicon Nightscream, presumably a different character to Armada Minicon Nightscream? Crosswise is repainted as Nightcruz Their combined form Mirror is repainted as Energon Nightcreeper, a GI Joe name Inferno has two ever so slightly different Powerlinx repaints plus one in Universe Windsheer has an unreleased Battle in a Box repaint which is the basis for Shattered Glass Whisper
