Well, I've got two of these, but it's an easy vote for Skeletor in this wave, as it's my preferred head sculpt on him and my less preferred colour scheme on Evil-Lyn. The yellow is way too bright. And Skeletor has a cool staff as well as the sword (or half sword) and armour while she just has a mini orb wand thing.

BEAST MAN! A favourite toy as a child and the Origins version is spot-on.

Beast Man! Who, err, might be stood on my desk.
It's funny, He-Man and Skeletor are so identifiable that having them out didn't really give me flashbacks to the past, but Beast Man, boom, instant childhood vibes.

How many Beast Men does one man need?! He's not exactly an army builder, is he? Actually, in the original DC Comics mini-series, which came before the cartoon, the Beast Men were an army rather than a single character. view-comic.com/masters-of-the-universe-1982-001/Scroll down to pages 19-20 to see! Martin is correct. I am shocked by Pinwig's lack of Beast Man knowledge.

Maybe he should buy more Beast Man to expand his knowledge. The LOP one is nice and a bit different but still Beast Man

The LOP one is very nice indeed. I freed mine from its packaging today.

What is the best Origins Wave 1 Heroic Warrior? - He-Man - Man-at-Arms (with moustache) - Teela www.actionfigure411.com/masters-of-the-universe/origins-visual-guide.phpSo, what character or characters is/are represented by the original (and Origins) Teela figure? Remove the snake cowl and staff, and it looks a bit like Teela the captain of the palace guard from the cartoon series - though not as close to it as the Super 7 Filmation figure - www.actionfigure411.com/masters-of-the-universe/super7/vintage/teela-2785.phpBut _with_ the snake cowl and staff, she looks nothing like Teela the captain of the palace guard. And of course it says Warrior Goddess on the front of the packaging. The answer is once again in the DC three-part mini-series: view-comic.com/masters-of-the-universe-1982-001/view-comic.com/masters-of-the-universe-1982-002/view-comic.com/masters-of-the-universe-1982-003/The toy represents two characters in one. With the snake cowl and staff, she is the Eternian Goddess/Sorceress, original guardian of Castle Grayskull and the twin halves of the Power Sword. Without the snake cowl and staff, the figure becomes Teela, apparently mortal captain of the guard, in her costume from issues #2 and #3 of the comic (albeit with her hair different). So, one figure, two characters. What of the falcon-themed Sorceress from the cartoon series, who also comes in two colour schemes in the MOTU Origins line? She was invented later on by the cartoon, and didn't appear in the toyline until 1987. But her alter ego, Zoar the Falcon, appeared to help the Goddess in issue #3 of the DC Comic. Goddess: he-man.fandom.com/wiki/GoddessSorceress: he-man.fandom.com/wiki/Sorceress_of_Castle_GrayskullWhat of the green 'Eternian Goddess' Origins figure released last year? That exists because the original Goddess was coloured green in one of the early mini-comics, and in the _recent_ DC Comics (contained in the Omnibus) Teela the captain of the guard becomes a new Goddess, turning green-skinned in the process. All clear? Martin

Well this is very interesting. I've been reading the wiki entries as well as Martin's post. I love reading about the development of narratives for toylines and this one seems even more confusing than the Transformers comic/cartoon co-development.
So Teela's toy was intended to serve the roll of the Goddess as well as the captain of the guard, but they weren't necessarily the same character, but in trying to accommodate that in the early stories blurred everything before the cartoon simplified it by bringing in a different Sorceress character. You can see why they'd do that, otherwise you'd likely end up with Teela changing back and forth like Adam. I can also see why the cartoon changed the whole having to run off to a cave to change into the 'I have the power!' simplicity.

I always thought that when Teela became the new Sorceress, she would wear the snake theme as apposed to the Big Bird motif.

I want to vote Man At Arms, a childhood favourite, but the Origins version is a disaster on many levels.
The figure is a mishmash between the Filmation Head and the original toy's armour configuration. If you're going Filmation Head then arm & leg armour on both sides as well. If you're going original toy's armour configuration, then shaven face to go with it, don't mix the two.
I'd have gone shaven head here and bunged the moustache head in the Eternian Guard box with the symmetrical armour which would have made more of a contrast with the guard.
Then there's the 2 part arm armour that will not stay on properly! Real disaster there: I'd be up for a new version with the armour moulded into the arms.
I like the Teela, nothing wrong with it though the later female knees are better and the shoulder doesn't quite fit & hold on mine.
He-Man for me. Love the different head sculpt.

Other than Skeletor and He-Man himself (and the dude with the Claw-jaw), Man-at-Arms is the only other character I particularly remember. I used to really like his helmet and chest armour combination. I used to imagine he could pop his face into his armour like a tortoise!

I always worried that he was smelly as he was never out of his one suit of armour and was running around a lot in it.

I think a lot of the He-Man chatacters were smelly and sweaty.
Except Orko because he is magic.
And the Sorceress because she did bugger all, and when she did, she always felt faint and collapsed for a rest.

Has to be Teela for me. Always loved that she came with that crazy snake armour that wasn't explained in any of the media I had available at the time - except for her not being Teela but being someone else instead. Certainly gave her an air of mystery.
