Antagony came in today, and brought with her Trashmaster and Detritus unannounced.
There's not much to say about her, but Antagony is very nice. It's just gratifying to finally have one of the bigger holes in my BW collection filled. I do wish they gave her a new head based on Wildman's version.
Trashmaster is very nice. Very solid, and very simple (but not a bad simple).
Detritus is a surprise though. I've not been particularly fond of the Siege Hound mold (Don't hate it, just doesn't do anything for me), so I was expecting Detritus to be pretty much the same. But he's actually really good. I just like him way better.

And yet, no sign of it as actual Hound?
It'll be Studio Series, right?

ish Hound was first sighted around this time last year tmukhub.proboards.com/post/484107/threadHe was destined then to be a single boxed Buzzworthy Bumblebee Studio Series release alongside DOTM Hatchet Hound was F5002, Hatchet F5003 Hound was probably SS86-18 and Hatchet SS-94 Both of these are new moulds so it's possible they're being held back to make their mould debut in non exclusive lines first. Equally plans may have changed but we believe they're still on the runway though maybe not BB and/or singles anymore Hound frequently gets brought up on the chat for Livestreams

Gosh it feels like that Hound has been on the runway for years.
Still can't decide if I'd be interested or not.

He's probably still on the runway due to a lack of wings.

Yes. This is a mismatched pair of 1 & 4 which are identical: Pins and I have this . This is a mismatched pair of 2 & 3 which are identical: TomWe has this This is a matched pair (1 & 2 or 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 or 3 & 4) which are not identical: they are mirror images which complement each other: The difference is very very subtle and may not matter a jot to you. But I've seen it and now it's bugging me Found and checked mine. 2&3

I'm absolutely blown away by Beachcomber. Potential toy of the year I think. Super kibble-free robot mode, poses and stands really well; vehicle mode that homages the original one really well; a transformation that is simple but fun; and money saved on size invested into something really beneficial, rubber tyres, instead of a big plastic gun like Cliffjumper. This is the first generations figure I can remember in forever that actually rolls freely when you push it instead of scratching its way across the table. And on top of all that - Paradise Parakeet has a hollow peg so he fits into holes but also sits on top of pegs. Genius!
Was anyone else as thrilled with this? He has everything a Deluxe needs.

Yes I love Beachcomber. He"s the perfect G1 update. Just wish he was a tad smaller scale wise, as we've discussed before. But he's quite splendid.

I've been waiting for a sale on him - he's not shown up at German retail yet and so is still RRP or higher everywhere online. That said, I'll be in London for the next few days so if he's available somewhere at a decent price I think I'll be picking him up.

I'm not as excited by Axelgrease. Good figure and I didn't realise there was quite so much remoulding over Scraphook but mine's got some floppy joints and one arm pops off at the elbow when you try to twist it for the transformation. These figures are also annoying to transform because they fall apart when you do. They're supposed to obviously, but the joints are so loose. It's difficult to get the arms folded into the back of the vehicle when they keep falling off.
The figure looks good and has a great head, but with such a small crew of Junkions it seems a shame this one isn't part of the team. The notion of a Junkion who has joined the Decepticons is intriguing but we've got nothing to explain it.

The worst thing is that there is no logical reason it's elbows needed to be designed so horribly. No reason in it's transformation (which usually dictates all weird joints). So naturally it's the junkion they're using to death while ignoring the others.

This is the first generations figure I can remember in forever that actually rolls freely when you push it instead of scratching its way across the table. That was certainly the big thing that worked in this figure's favour for me. A Transformers toy that actually turns into a toy car that you can actually play with? Madness! Although it's depressing that we're at the point now where "do what it's meant to do" is such noteworthy achievement...

A toy car that cannot roll is an utter failure as a toy and the kind of bollocks that should be nipped in the bud at prototype stage.

A toy car that cannot roll is an utter failure as a toy The new G.I. Joe Classified Firefly comes with a little remote-controlled car pal. It has four wheels and rolls on carpet. Probably also rolls in egg and rolls in sausage, but that would be messy so I won't put it to the test. Martin
