The trailer for ONE was in IMAX before the latest Apes film when I went yesterday. A few observations:
-It looks cheap as fuck on a big screen. -In a cinema environment, it feels even more like generic CGI pap than it did on home. -Definitely skipping it. Not a film for Ralph. -A kid was sitting behind me with his dad. They were both audibly excited when the trailer came on.

So Lorenzo di Bonaventura states TF1 is first animated Transformers movie in 40 years. Then states he knows TFM came out 1986 38 years ago.

HANG ON.
This appears to be the same story as another film with a trailer out now.
It's the same thing!
Megatron is the Wicked Witch of the West!

I've always said Megatron has a startling resemblance to Fenella from Chorlton and the Wheelies.

We don't know what twists and turns this original film will tell in its story. Spoiler tag people!

Looks like a Pixar / DreamWorks film aimed at kids who buy toys. I'm sold. Please, Pixar has some semblance of a soul left. DreamWorks/Illumination/BlueSky and you're on the money. We don't know what twists and turns this original film will tell in its story. Spoiler tag people! Who knows, maybe it sets up Shattered Glass Prime and Megatron ends up being the good guy?

Word is from all the press screenings that it's an enjoyable film, so going to have to park my ass in the cinema.

I'm definitely getting good vibes from the trailers. I'm going to make the effort to go to the cinema I think.

It seemed to be advertising a completely different film. -Ralph

New trailer rocks. Some of the jokes now feel out of place though. I guess they're going for a Guardians vibe.

Seems fair to me - school holidays are when kids are more likely to be able to go to the cinema. Less likely to have homework, no school the next morning and parents/caregivers are trying to keep them occupied with all that extra time on their hands. Seems fair to have the film around when the primary audience are more likely to be able to see it...

I would take Ralph during half term for all those reasons. But as we are likely to be away then we will try to team up to see it before.

I am hoping it has some showings in IMAX. We both need to check the content to see if it would be suitable/age appropriate for young N, you see. We take this responsibility seriously. -Ralph

Was it for the US though? It's being pushed hard online currently as US bookings opened this week.
Not bookable in the UK yet, as far as I am aware.

Woohoo! A cancellation of a Murder Mystery for tomorrow (as the venue has unfortunately been flooded) means that I'm able to attend a Premier screening. Very excited!
