I must have just imagined all those comics where TFs _constructed_ new TFs like the combiners, Jetfire, Omega Supreme, Ultra Magnus, Springer, etc. to spec (possibly when on Cybertron using as components those naturally occurring gears, levers and pulleys you refer to) and then used the (miraculous) Creation Matrix or Matrix Flame to give them sentient life. You're quoting a bit of a sentence out of context anyway. The "naturally occurring gears, levers and pulleys" are cited to emphasise that the Autobots' origins were not evolution through carbon-bonding. It doesn't suggest that each individual Autobot just pops into life in an arbitrary form. That was just a G2 thing.  Issue #1 also established that they engineered their own ability to transform into things that suited them, e.g. war machines. I've just moved the particular conversation begun by Matt as it's not really about the relative merits of different 2024 film releases. Martin |

Looked in my local Vue & posters up are Joker2, Captain amercia, Superman1, wildrobot. No Transformers features in those media UK comics - they are doing Sonic3.

I saw it the week before last and it thought it was good! Best Transformers film since the first Michael Bay one. There were definitely some elements I didn't like (it was a bit too American for my tastes) but overall it was solid.
