Interesting they said that recreating the red translucent decoder strip was a challenge. I wonder why it was achievable in 84 but tricky now? Manufacturing process using materials no longer readily available? Or by products having a high environmental factor perhaps.

See, stuff like that is the first thing that comes to mind, but the majority of the "missing" characters, at least the ones that would interest Takara most, come from the cartoon. And elsewhere in the interview, he gives off vibes that the cartoon is being thrown the kind of scraps that literally every other line gives non-cartoon stuff. While I'm 100% down with an Arcee that fits with the '86 set, or a Drift that fits with the '85 cars, I personally am not sure that's what he means. That's also this could still happen and also not be what he's talking about. Like we both said, intriguing! This is now the most interesting line in quite some time! |

But pretty much interested in whatever we do get. Hoping for some kind of announcement at the 40th anniversary show . |
