A decent pose might improve my opinion a bit, but Gears is just one of those characters where the toy just looks better than the animation model and this is not even a good representation of the animation model.
I guess I do like the animation models big head and they have got that right here.

GEARS!!!!!!!!
Excellent. Yes those legs are tiny. But he'll do. The youngest will love the pointless flip up chest.

Aye, this is certainly one where I prefer the toy, so I'm going to hold out hope that they'll do a toy head version somewhere down the line. I mean it's not like they can get too many reuses out of this otherwise - just Swerve and an e-Hobby repaint colours one, I think. Although on the other hand we've not had toy head sculpts for any of the other minibots, so I'm probably on to a loser here...

I think we got the headsculpt for Huffer, just not as Huffer unfortunately.
There are a few repaint options if they want to go deep on South American minibot releases, but so far they haven’t shown much interest there, even with TR Top Spin and Twin Twist having some beautiful options!

Ah, excellent. I shall look forward to Hasbro never fully releasing a toy-accurate version of Gears, leaving this as the only release of that head mold.

I've realised I'm not too bothered in this case, because even a toy head isn't going to make it look enough like toy Gears anyway. Gears should absolutely have dirty great tires on his shoulders and be a bit more chunky and a little hunched.
I'm resigned to letting the Sunbow fans have their toyline and living in hope of a reboot in a more toy-based aesthetic at some point.

If the Chromia is a real toy I would get that. Looks lovely. It is literally on a table of paints though, so I can see how it could be a custom.

And yeah, if Chromia is legit, I'd pick that up. If Chromia is meant to be Cyberverse Chromia, and we believe she is: then they've missed the mark quite considerably for the robot mode tfwiki.net/wiki/Chromia_(Cyberverse)As a general Chromia I'm not sure the T30 version has been beaten: Pretty certain this is a pass for me

Medix arrived Monday.
The pictures do not do it justice. The main colour might be bright white but the lime green & orange highlight colours are pure G2 juice, especially when connected with clear weapons in a variety of colours.
Well worth a punt at the £15 InDemand are asking

I am 90% positive that Chromia is real. The teal nylon that makes up her shoulders and throwing stars are plastic colors, and the way the light reflects off the rest of her feels like plastic, not paint.
The problem with this Chromia is similar to Legacy Windblade... It's a very competent Chromia that does nothing to bring anything new to the plate. If you have no other version, this one seems fine. If you have one or more however, this offers no real reason to get her. The original T30 certainly is not a rare figure, nor do I believe either Siege versions are. On top of that, like Legacy Bulkhead, it looks nothing like any previous version of the character, and definitely nothing like the one it's supposed to represent.

The original T30 certainly is not a rare figure, nor do I believe either Siege versions are. T30 and original Siege never came out here. WFC did but was 1 per case an quite popular because of the above. Both Siege are a tad fragile in a couple of places though On top of that, like Legacy Bulkhead, it looks nothing like any previous version of the character, and definitely nothing like the one it's supposed to represent. It's very much she's a bike, Prowl's a bike, that'll do. Still think this would have worked better, though not perfectly, as Roadpig

I can't get it out of my head that the bike mode there looks like a motorcycle with someone lying down on it. I think it is the way it sticks out so far behind the rear wheel like dangling feet. Other than that I don't think that is too bad really.
It does show how wonky an Animated homage the mould is though, when it is so easy to swap out the head and make it look so little like an Animated thing.

Robot looks fine to me! Fun that they added the 'M' as an easter egg, and I appreciate the E.J. Su-style jaw hinge. The chest as vehicle rear is a little bothersome. Shame they couldn't have had it spin around or tuck underneath.
Like Brawn, they'll need to do significant re-engineering to get the versions of their mold-mates accurate to how people like them.
