I bet it's generations or something totally weird. Called it.

Anyway, Hot Rod shouldn't even be there.

I think they may have been a little limited by what they could use.
Blurr, Kup, Galvatron & Scourge were all not quite their Movie forms and are all Titan Return remake Probables or definites
Arcee, Springer and Magnus are too recent.
What you left with? Rodimus.
A pair of Junkions to exploit the riding gimmick is a superb idea.

Arcee would have made a load of sense. It might be recent but was pretty hard to find and it would have given them the chance for a US G1 repaint.

Yeah but really: 1) None of them are that movie accurate 2) I don't think people care that much nowadays with regards to dead-on Sunbow model accuracy. It's turned more into an 'ideal' of the characters. Once more they squander the opportunity for a magenta Hot Rod. Oh well.

I've got some money for that I think. I might join you if it isn't silly money. Those Junkions are nice repaints and I don't have those moulds. That's the 2010 Generations figure isn't it? What were deluxes at that point on a par with size-wise? Were they more WfC Prime than FoC Prime?

2011 Reveal the Sheild but effectively the same thing. Yup more WFC than FOC sized. Around the same time as Jazz, the largest classics deluxe.

I never really liked that Hot Rod and I recall the Wreck-Gar mould coming with pre-stressed hands so an easy pass from me. Nice idea though.

Huh. Okay, if that's the one from the set, it's looking a lot better than the previous photos. Not that I'll be getting it, mind you. But it looks better.

Easiest pass of all, for me. As time goes on, I dislike that Hot Rod mold more and more, and I cannot transform the Wreck Gar I've got back into bike mode, so...
Yeah, no.

In fairness, I do love the vehicle mode of this Hot Rod. Eve if Hasbro did an awesome new robot version, I may keep this one just for the car.

It's a real car. A Dome. from the 70's, I think. You could buy a real one and have that!

Um ..... Another Movie Platinum Pack: One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall I saw the Op during the week on eBay and dismissed it as an unfinished prototype! Megatron seems to have got the red that was missed off Optimus. The best I can do is "Hate Plague Megatron"

Or even a purple Megatron: that'd work as a bright colour and been vaguely in character!
Could someone Photoshop me a purple classics Megatron?

To future TF fans reading this: I apologise for planting the idea of a hate plague sub linein the head of whichever Hasbro exec is spying on this forum!

I NEED THAT MEGATRON!!!
The mad colors are likely to pass US toy gun laws, which are like, 20 times more strict and far more regulated than laws for real guns. Also looks to be inspired by a nerf gun. Probably the same nerf gun megatron is based on.
