Hmmm, a four-day rainy weekend and nothing I want to see in the cinema. Good thing I've got lots of Blu-rays awaiting my attention.
I reckon my next film will be The Fall Guy in a month's time.

It's 'Action Season' at Cineworld.
Predator, Speed, The Rock, Con Air, Mad Max (2015), Commando.
I've booked a ticket to see Demolition Man on the 15th.

Time to either have a radical shake-up in style or for these two series to be quietly put to rest. -Ralph

The question is, will Demolition Man be the Taco Bell version or the Pizza Hut version?
Place your bets.

1. The Beekeeper 2. Argylle 3. Madame Web 4. Dune Part 2 5. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
6. Monkey Man - theres a bit of a lull in the middle followed by an odd power up, but its mostly good fun in the John Wick vein.

I went to the cinema! Oh yes indeed!
Well, we needed to kill time before a play tonight and the complex we're in has a cinema in it too. So we watched Ghostbusters. I was really enjoying it, but due to excessive manual labour moving a pile of stone yesterday and then a five mile walk this morning, I fell asleep half way through then woke up for the end. Either that or it was a very short film.
I'm sure when I see this on Blu-ray it'll be brilliant.

It looks weapons-grade awful. Giving it a miss. Getting bombarded with ads for this on YT currently. Two things that stand out about modern trailers that this is guilty of. 1. Splicing together two lines of dialogue to form one soundbite for the trailer, either from separate takes or potentially two entirely different lines. Sounds horribly unnatural. 2. VO guy saying the release date as "[month] [day]". Like "May Two", not "May 2nd".

Civil War wasn't the film I expected, but pretty good. Understated and got under my skin. I don't usually rate Kirsten Dunst as an actor but she is excellent in this.
Spy X Family Code: White didn't really use the set-up effectively and the main female role felt rather out-dated in how she was written but it did have some very funny scenes. Will work better on a small screen.

Although...most of the appeal of the TV version is the odd family dynamic and the shenanigans...which aren't necessarily widescreen, THX-sound material in fairness. Karl

I would put The Fall Guy down as just a mediocre action romantic comedy, except that the top tier made-for-big-screen practical effects and stuntwork by real stunt-people steal the show from the big name actors. Some really original and impressive stuff, with most of the budget happily saved for the final act.
Extremely welcome in a year with no Tom Cruise releases scheduled.
