What *is* the Feet Brigade?! Like a Foot Brigade but walking instead of hopping. Martin

I suspect The Feet Brigade refers to a current design practice of not bothering to have backs of cars done properly but just to have the robot feet hanging off there.

Not to mention having the inside panels of the feet just open revealing the hollow innards to the world, reflecting the hollow souls of the designers.

I'm sorry, but Slag being that oversized just looks silly

As long as he's not bigger than Grimlock I'm fine with him.
I know what you mean though, CJ.

Slag does look silly at that size but this amuses me. I must have it!

Nah! Slag will fit right in with my MP Grimlock at that size. Just wish he was toy colours.

Well it is in a line designed to look like how the characters looked like in the Movie so I am fine with it.
I will be surprised if toy colour versions don't show up at a later date though.

I've long been meaning to try MP Grimlock's sword with SS86 Leader Grimlock.
While searching in the cupboard for my RM Victory Saber I accidentally knocked the bag containing it down the back of T30 Metroplex so trying that will need to wait till I can pull that cupboard above the stairs out.
I did fin MP Grimlock's Dual Gun...... and it's smaller than Leader Grimlock's! MAD!

Or maybe it's Leader Grimlock that's the mad one.

I think it was mentioned in a recent Triple Takeover podcast that SS Grimlock has some covered-over details inspired by the G1 toy, which strongly hints at a possible future toy-inspired redeco. Does anyone have any other reference for this? I can't find _anything_ on the Usual Other Sites or Google... Or possibly I am misremembering or misunderstood...

Other than fixing his wrong colored eyes and giving him some tampos that're slightly more detailed, I can't possibly see how a toy colored Grimlock would be even remotely different enough.

Chrome the chest, swap Wheelie for a sword and missile launcher. Hasbro would be laughing all the way to the bank and we'd go "Yes Please!"

Ah, here we go, apparently scraping the paint off of the neck reveals that under the translucent plastic there is toy-like molded detailing. www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/diaclone-ss86-grimlock.1207116/So if they were to go with chroming, they could also chrome that and make the plastic a bit more transparent, along with the other changes people have suggested. Maybe also retool the top part of the dinosaur head, to make it a bit more distinct and toy-like? That transparent-plastic-over-chrome thing is such a lovely part of the original Dinobot toy aesthetic. I'd definitely put the SS86 Dinobots on hold if I thought toy decos were going to happen...

They won't. I can't remember the last time they used vac-metallized plastic on anything. Beast Machines? That sure doesn't sound right, but I can't remember anything since then. Edit: Oh wait, MP Grimlock! Which was still a loooong time ago.
It's been a long time since even Takara has. Henkei, I think?
So yeah, that's something they could do, but they absolutely won't. Which leaves changing his eye color and a few tamptos. G2 is more likely.
Slag however is different enough from correct colors to offer a viable toy redeco.

There's a chromed Classics Op and FOC Voyager Grimlock in Age Of Extinction
Magna Convoy has Chrome too I think? Is the boxset Godbomber Chromed?

Post by Toph on Aug 31, 2021 14:28:35 GMT
Magna Convoy does not. Only had the single release of Godbomber, and was unaware there was any deco difference between him and the set! I did forget about the other two, though.
I still think it's highly unlikely, though I'd welcome being wrong. It's a shame that 25 years later and the Transmetals still seems to put hasbro off it, when the concept is fine when they don't use bad materials.

That was from the period when chrome was back as Hasbro said fans liked it. Fans responded by saying that chrome is very nice but please stop using *crap* chrome. So, er, chrome was dropped entirely again. -Ralph
