Grimlock really is just the Masterpiece version, but at a different scale and with some of the features removed. Absolutely ridiculous. But, as I've probably said before, good for those that don't have the MP or who want him to scale with the WFC figures.
Wheelie though is just unforgivable - non-transforming and only one point of articulation per limb? They can do better than that.

There is no way Hasbro will manage to get all the Dinobots out at that scale. I'm all for a big Grimlock, this one looks good with Earthrise Prime, but I'm struggling a bit with his size over Ultra Magnus. Ultra M is the ultimate Autobot warrior, but he looks a bit insignificant next to Grim here. Might work better with the CW Magnus.

He's too big for Grimlock. Decent for Sludge.
But oversized for Grimlock.
I would have rather they bumped him down to UM's size, and used that extra pricepoint to give him a sword, a bigger tyrannosaur head, and make wheelie fully articulated if not transforming.
This size would just look silly for Slag and Snarl, and utterly ridiculous for Swoop.

Ever since MP Grimlock they seem to have been giving him oversized Shoulders that are too big and sit too high. This one looks generally better proportioned too. Give me G2. |

UM's size would fit great.  Have no real opinion on how he scales to Ultra Magnus what so ever. The two have never met as far as I'm concerned, and won't be sharing the same shelf. |

Grimlock would look great being UM's size. Sludge at Grimlock's size, Slag and Snarl at Op's size, and Swoop at Siege Ironhide's size.

Scale is always an arse. I would say that in that trio Grim and Magnus should swap heights, but then Magnus needs to be eye to eye with Galvatron, and I could take a Galvatron at Magnus's height in that picture - he'd be fine with Prime, but a Galvatron at Grim's height there would be too big.
So in short, I'll take what I'm given and like it.

To be fair, scale in toys is impossible because comics and cartoons cheat when it comes to resizing alt modes. When I talk about scale it's purely down to what I see the height of robot modes should be, but even that causes head canon complications.
