It does look really rather promising. Could go that I must admit.

Anyone on social media know if there's a problem with the DWM app currently? Digital monthly subscriber but the app won't give me access to the new issue unless I pay for it again. Argh.

Nope.
Is your subscription set to auto-renew?

It would look like it's around now your sub was due to be renewed: tmukhub.proboards.com/post/171620/threadLots of Daleks goodness in the new DWM. Pleased to report the app issues for digital subscribers seem to have been resolved. It downloaded for me same day as physical issue out without wanting strange extra pennies. Hooray. -Ralph

Nope. Is your subscription set to auto-renew? Andy It is and I have checked. Sometimes the app can be a bit borked on New Issue Day and sorts itself out by the end of the weekend. I imagine it will fix itself soon enough. -Ralph

Oh good lord, another one? Stop! Just Stop!
Was pleased to find The Time Monster covered in this month's DWM. One of the finest Pertwee stories. When I asked a while ago if the Fact of Fictions had been indexed anywhere, it was actually that story I was after.

It's a pretty good special actually, some decent material mainly classic series, lots of Delgado and Ainley.

Someone has done an audio/visual adaptation of Junkyard Demon from DWM.
Sadly using the recoloured art instead of the proper B&W art by Mick McMahon.

That's pretty nicely done. Best Baker impressionation I've heard outside Jon Culshaw.
Theme's a bit odd though!

Yeah. I suspect the odd theme was to avoid a copyright takedown.

Next month's DWM is a MUST PURCHASE.
It has an interview with Keith Boak, the first director on the return of Who and long-rumoured to be the reason behind Ecclestone quitting and unofficial fan scapegoat for it.

It's a pretty good special actually, some decent material mainly classic series, lots of Delgado and Ainley. Found this in Smiths today alongside the last three, still hanging around on the shelves like unwanted guests. It does indeed look like the first one of these actually worth reading. A pleasing amount of classics stuff and the Missy nonsense consigned to the last few pages. It being I'm in the Pertwee era on my watching run at the moment I'm up for some in depth Delgado reading.

New DWM is out.
The Boak interview is more interesting for what it leaves out, but he comes across well and while he doesn't outright admit to mishandling Ecclestone, he does allude to it.

Amen to that. It needs a special cover image of the Master dangling the doctor's head by his spinal cord, about to cut it with a large Catana.
Umm, or not.

Doctor Who Adventures has come under Panini's wing and been relaunched. From the outside it looks the same: in a baggy with overloaded cover design and crap gift things. Inside, the quality has gone up significantly. The comic strip has gone from 4 pages to 9 pages and it is written with a less cynical 'design for demographic focus group testing' style. There is now a 3-page illustrated text story as well. The design of the features is much clearer, the word count and vocabulary have improved and generally the title treats the audience with far less contempt. Out go the 'features' about the making-of the tv show. The conceit is that everything in the show is real.
It's not aimed at us and one issue is enough for me out of curiosity but it's a better younger readers title than it was before. Not sure if it will survive though now that Doctor Who Comic exists (3x22 page strips featuring three Doctors and at the same price-point).
