OsgoodAre we to assume that the costume she's wearing (4th Doc, 7th Doc, 11th Doc) reflects where she is in her life?

It's very much a modern day Monster Book and indeed even acknowledges it's inspiration in the introduction.
Apparently there's another normal special coming soon, focusing on DW music.

Not a surprise. They're not on Sale or Return and back stocks have been mounting. Can't see them doing too many more.

The price-point put me off. They just didn't look they were worth a tenner, especially compared to the regular DWM specials which are cheaper and have a higher word count.

It's hard to disagree with that really. I interviewed him once, many years ago, and have always found him a decent chap. Rating Doctors is an almost impossible task because there are so many factors to consider. It's been something in the back of my mind the whole time I've been doing this marathon (Face of Evil Part One this evening). I can't do it. I can't rate any of the first four above the other without a massive BUT... coming into play, so when a poll like that forces you to do it, someone loses out unnecessarily.
Speaks volumes I think that Colin always comes bottom of the TV polls, but top of the Big Finish ones.

Colin gets a bad rap, but in terms of ratio for amount of stories that were less good. You have to say Peter Davison has that box checked, it's just Colin never got that Androzani level story.
If Caves hadn't happened I can guarantee that the overwhelming opinion of Davison's era would be much the same as Colin's sadly.

No. I can see what he's trying to say but with every pole someone finishes bottom even if the work they've done is good.
Frequently they finish bottom cos they are **** though!

I think he has a point about these polls and the way they are presented.
He may not have had the greatest TV era of Who, but I've become a much bigger fan through his Big Finish stories - The First Sontarans and the first few Charley stories (esp. Brotherhood of the Daleks) are among my absolute favourites.

I think his linking of his interview with the 2014 poll results in the same issue then rebuffing the editor online reflects seeing a pattern that isn't there. Also, all polls for most things shown the full spread of votes. That's how opinion polls work. He is of course entitled to his opinion but unfortunately I can see a few sales being lost for his regeneration story from more casual audio buyers because, alas, he really isn't coming across well at the moment. He does, however, remain a very fine fellow and my favourite Doctor.

Could work both ways though. I thought what he wrote was rational and well reasoned, not ranty, and I'd forgotten about the regen special. Makes me more inclined to pre-order it now.

I don't mind The Twin Dilemma. It's flawed but it's better than Castrovalva or Deep Breath in the pantheon of 'A Doctor's first story'. In my mind anyway!

I'm not a fan of "The Twin Dilemma" I will admit. It didn't do a lot for me when I saw it back in the day, and it hasn't done a great deal for me since sadly. This is not really a strike against the lead actor, so much as it just not having worked for me. Castrovalva I will always have a soft spot for because it was my introduction to some of the work of M.C. Escher - some of whose paintings I can't stand but whose geometric paradoxes I do find fascinating, but I would agree it is also quite flawed.
