Stickers! STICKERS!
Good, but really should have been transfers. Didn't Vworp Vworp manage actual transfers on their first issue?

Hmmm.
Folk have clearly voted for favourite issues rather than covers for a few of them. Kylie cover should have placed higher! Surprised by the winner.

The problem with that whole thing is that the covers are mostly just publicity stills with various arrangements of text around them, so they don't really strike me as being purpose designed. So it isn't surprising to see the special issue covers high up the list as they're among the few that were designed as covers from the start.
Imagine doing this with something like 2000AD; totally different ball game.

Glad to see the Vervoid cover anecdote is mentioned in the second mag that comes with the #500 pack.

Are they both the same.
The sticker sheet gave me a chuckle as I recalled the images as they have appeared in editions over the years.

I had two sticker sheets as well. Initially I didn't think there were any actual stickers and I thought "swizz", then I picked up the second magazine and they slid off the back cover. Must find somewhere appropriate to put some of these. For the meantime they will live with the Gav-drawn Seacon stickers which I have found during my clearing out.

yeah they're identical. What's with the little chef guy bottom left? Many on OG are deciphering the stickers. Good to see Sorvad on there. And Clive Swift! An amusing nod to his infamous Voyage of the Damned interview. Tee hee hee. -Ralph

yeah they're identical. What's with the little chef guy bottom left? He was on an advert in a very early (the first?) issue.

Somewhat worryingly I recalled the advert was for Bellamy's Licquourice and a quick search found:

I haven't seen these stickers yet, but that ad is burned into my memory. It ran for ages in the early issues. I remember the TARDIS Tuner one too.

Finally got the 500th issue. What a fantastic package! It's a really nice celebration and I love the way it touches affectionately on the weekly era.

Still reading through issue #500. Brilliant celebration of the magazine. Possibly the best issue ever. Certainly taken the edge off having to watch Frontios this week.
I realised reading it that the best covers thing - it has to be the Kylie one simply because of what it is, what it stands for.

Blimey, so DWM weren't joking when they said 'ultimate' Tom Baker interview... 65 pages! They should have made it a special.

Reached the end of the big Baker interview. There are bits in there that are recognisable from the earlier uses of the interviews, and because the themes change throughout it does feel disjointed, but it's a wonderful read. It might be 68 pages, but I was sad to reach the end. I think i could happily read lord Tom's opinions on anything and everything in perpetuity.

It's only his 'last' print interview. He still does work for Big Finish and tends to pop up in their 'making of' extras.

Yes, let's hope that goes on for a long time to come. In fact I must buy the audio CD interview with him Nick Briggs did.
