Thinking about it, have we ascertained what the BF CD with the Smiths issue is? Is it an original like DWM used to do? What are the downloads?

Rummaged around on GB.
The included disc is a random back catalogue pick from the companion chronicles / Destiny of the Doctor series. The BF downloads are
Eighth Doctor Time War 1: The Starship of Theseus Diary of River Song 1: The Boundless Sea UNIT Assembled: Tidal Wave
The BBC download seems to be the audiobook of Human Nature or The Roundheads. Which is pretty cool really.

Noticed in Smiths today they're selling the deluxe AND vanilla versions of the magazine. Wasn't expecting that for some reason. Didn't buy it.

Loved the article on John Levine's trip to the miniature maker in DWM. His passion for the series is fantastic.

In interviews I find John Levene comes across as mildly nuts as Tom Baker, but because fandom haven't declared him a great British eccentric they give him far more grief for it.
I mean, he's one of the few cast members for whom Who wasn't just a career killing job they did for a couple of years and is now their pension through conventions and Big Finish. It literally changed his entire life for the better and his stories about how everyone was so supportive of his insecurities and encouraged him to have a good crack at it makes me like that whole era a little more.
Plus there's no stories about him sexually assaulting fans as with Richard Franklin, so Team Benton ftw.

Plus there's no stories about him sexually assaulting fans as with Richard Franklin, so Team Benton ftw. I've seen Benton single out and verbally abuse fans with four-letter tirades (with sexual comments too) at a con and overhead con staff regarding his, ah, approaches to others at another. A real shame. The only guest I've ever seen at a con who has shocked me with his behaviour. I personally don't go to events if I know he's on the bill. The man makes my skin crawl. -Ralph

I really enjoyed the TARDIS tin interview with Lord Tom in the current DWM. I love the fact now he just goes on flights of fancy and sometimes it's impossible to separate the fact from fiction. He's told the stories so many times they've taken on their own lives.

Indeed. He is a true eccentric. We must treasure him while he is still with us.

Buggered if I could find the DWA Special today. I want the tat it comes with! -Ralph Finally found it after over three weeks of searching! A very bright and colourful special for kids. Has a very nice design approach to it. Includes a 5-page comic strip, four postcards and loads of cheery stickers. Perfectly decent for younger children. I suspect, however, that the double-whammy of it coming out after the last series was aired and being very poorly distributed means it will not be a big seller. -Ralph

Catching up on recent DWM's and my mind has been floored from the shocking revelation that Christopher H Bidmead used to knock boots with Helen Mirren!!!
