September's events in the Ayres family, or rather wider family, may have triggered a much larger storage rearrangement down the line. More when it becomes more certain, but assistance from the Chums may well be required

So today was one of those milestones that marks the start of something.
Ideally I could do with living on one level.
My in laws have a Bungalow but we couldn't afford it and my Father In Law wasn't moving anyway
My father in law died start last September, the probate is through so the house is now all in my Mother in Law's name and she wants to go to sheltered accommodation.
My mother died end of September, her probate is being done by one of my brothers but once the house in London is sold we should have some cash
Today we took our surveyor friend into my Mother In Laws to look it over and assess if what we want to do to it could be done, with a broadpark cost estimate.
Short story: modifications are all doable, and within potential budget.
The plan is we find my 85yo MiL the Sheltered Accommodation she wants, move her in, do the work, move us in, sell here, and pay her.
As a priority we'd get the garage made safe and watertight and move the contents of the loft of joy down there for a major purge. I think it's going to have to be very major as I think I'm going to need most of the existing garage space for my books.

Big decisions here, Big Phil. Well done for making them so well.

I'm not sure that's the help he is looking for... I think what we need to consider here is "would one of my prize transformers be one of the first things out the door when there's so much other crap in the loft?" and "would I be prioritising giving Ralph an item that he already has one of even though I know he really wants MY one?" Though knowing he really wants my one does factor into the decision making process ;-)

Yep, that is a fair operation there Phil. Sending good thoughts your way, and I stand ready to assist if I can help with anything.

Yes, we got him one a few years back from the Fu. It has not stopped him lusting after mine.

Ralph needs four Grand Galvatrons so he can make a combiner that has only Ghost Starscreams for limbs.

Our car is filled with toys and boxes for the Fu. Nearly the entire wheelchair aisle is filled with CW & UW boxes which will hopefully put a few quid on Fu stock in years to come. Also in there are all the New Diaclone I bought and all the Magna Power Micromen, both for the Fu. I'd aimed to return more to it's original packaging than I did, apologies. About the only thing I managed was the Magna Power Combiner Robotman Endeavour. ALL the Diaclone boxes are there and a few other Microman. There's a Diaclone set guide at tmukhub.proboards.com/thread/8401/diaclone-reboot and www.micromanforever.com/MicroMillenium.htm has the Magne Power series top right. The Microstation is in a bag with it's ramps, car and controller plus a figure which you'll need to trigger the locks on the magnetic compartments. I suspect that at least will get played with before it leaves the Burns house. I feel VERY odd about the stuff going. But it needs to happen. Garage is done, bar paint. Mag boxes ready to move down there. I think the next step is to have a quite brutal purge of my modern TF packaging. I don't keep standard stuff anymore, bar the Titans boxes which all have things in but I think EVERYTHING post Unicron Trilogy needs to go (with the exception of the Throne and The Pit) So if there's any Generations/Legacy exclusive boxes anyone wants me to save, say now. (will prob keep Micromaster 10 pack too come to think of it cos it's rare as ****. And maybe Siege Skywarp, ditto) That will clear a lot more space up there and clarify what's left to happen. I caught sight of what was hidden in the corners of the loft yesterday and it was VERY scary....

Jonathan and I took advantage of Liz's absence in foreign climbs to attempt to purge the loft of empty Transformers packaging: Opps.

Not a box, no, but I'll take any Takara Legends instructions/manga off your hands if you're moving them on.

Jonathan's done a really FAB job this week helping me by pulling all the empty boxes out the loft, well done son! As part of that he's done a Video Tour for the Loft Of Joy so I now know what's left youtu.be/zTamDsVS-Vw

We are probably going to have to get *VERY* Ruthless before we're done.
I've spotted a few more things that can go just watching the video so will get them bought down.
I'm also going to rationalise the shelving, get the remaining Titans boxes shelved and in the process check them. I'm pretty sure three have got Legends stuff in them, but what's in the other two or three I'm not sure.
