The original was like that too - did it bother you there?
To me it's just "That's How Soundblaster is"
I can recall actual tape decks that loaded tapes like that, some of which had fatter doors.

I never had, nor wanted a Soundblaster, but in the pictures it does indeed bother the hell out of me.
Unavoidable for the original, but they could have built the ability to carry two tapes into the Siege mold torso, from the start.

Siege Soundwave - great robot mode, and I like the vehicle mode a lot more than I expected; without the standard issue Siege battle damage it would be a bit weak, but with it it has something of that Star Wars lived-in, sort-of-utilitarian-looking spaceship thing going on.
