Could be interesting. A good voyager Soundwave would be excellent, but we've had no indication of tapes have we? I don't think I'd want to lose any Micromaster slots to accommodate more tape twin packs.
I *really* hope these figures are good. I know I'm pretty much the only one salivating at the prospect of another round of '84 characters, but I just want a really good set of modern articulated figures for the originals that look like they go together. That's been building since CW started so it'd be great if Siege finished it off. At least for robot modes.

Personally, I'm ready to move on from "tapes." Canon Soundwave is not nearly as connected to his tapes as Fanon Soundwave is. (Megatron seemed to care more about Laserbeak and Ravage, than Soundwave ever has in fiction. Either in sunbow or Marvel. And I never bought into IDW's portrayal, always felt inauthentic.)
We got the gimmick updated exactly in TR, and at this point, soundwave being a tape deck is as silly as megatron being a gun is.
Bring on Ravage who turns into a predator drone, and Laserbeak who transform into a motorcycle.
But then none of that is G1 enough for the current team. So we'll probably be getting smaller soundwave with smaller micromaster sized tapes.

Same price as Micromaster Patrols, so could be Soundwave minions, but I'd still prefer two Micromasters. |

We had a G1 style Soundwave just two lines ago. The retool is out soon in the Bumblebee line! I just...I just don't see the point. I'm genuinely puzzled. There's also a G1 style Soundwave revealed at the same event for Cyberverse. These all look fine, but Generations is eating itself by this point, alas. It seems to have have given up on new, er, old characters with each iteration and is stuck in a loop. These look like decent toys. I'm not annoyed or Internet Raging. I'm just left feeling...why? *shoulder shrug* A cheap line for me! So there are always positives. Also, I can go back up fill gaps in TR instead! -Ralph That Soundwave alt mode is a joke. Just a brick. Let's hope the tooling budget got diverted to Springer. |

Pretty sure Laserbeak is mistransformed. Ravage looks like he has a gun mode or something. There's a piece that's part of his neck that's completely separate, and looks like it could be a gun barrel or a handle. There's quite possibly some unrevealed combined weapons mode. The other four Micromaster teams have them. Wave two definitely holds a lot more interest for me than wave one. My only possible issue is a really minor one, and that's with Ravage's legs. He looks really nice, but the way they've proportioned him makes him look even more like a dog than he normall does. Which... is not right, given that he's a cat. Still, I'll be getting him and Visorbeak anyway - and I guess a Soundwave for them to use as a kennel. |

Laserbeak is FANTASTIC! Really nice. Plastic feels so good. The design is MINT!
Ravage... is weirdly square, blocky, just, I dunno, looks odd. Bit disappointed. Maybe he'll grow on me. No way he's better than the superb Generations/Classics Ravage that came with Hound. No way.

Laserbeak has 2 of the small 3mm pegs on his rear so he can use Firedrive's blasts as jet trails. Here they are with their originals  |
