It's only out in the US. We poor UK relations will receive our copies from this Wednesday (or Thursday in my case as I'm an even poorer relation according to Diamond).
There's some positive noises for AHM #6 over on the IDW boards. I dunno whether this is a genuine sign that the series is on the up or just that all the 'trouble makers' have been kicked off the boards.

For trouble-makers read those with a dissenting opinion!

A moment of silence, then, for our brothers and sisters in Canada.

I also worked out you can condense the Autobot bits of #4 and #5 into 10 pages, with one left over to bring the Swarm in from #6 as a cliffhanger.
The trick was to realise "hang on, I'm condensing issues so why have Kup's krew only turn up in #5? They could've been there all along and Kup just clashes with Jazz a lot", and voila, page upon page could be shaved off.

Brace yourself people.
There are a lot of words in AHM #6. In fact, it took more time to read than Maximum Dinobots. There, I've said it.
The swarm are a bit rubbish though.

Ooh, a lot of words.
Is this Swarm like what was in G2 or is it something else?

It ends with foreign nations saying they should nuke NYC.

And because I'm obsessive, I've done a third AHM Re-Mastered issue. I've started to diverge from the source material quite a bit in places, I wonder what that means? (No I don't, it means the Witwickies are dull)

It ends with foreign nations saying they should nuke NYC. If the Decepticons are also attacking other countries, how will nuking NYC help? -Ralph

The Decepticon base is in NYC. It's a good way to take them all out.
Of course if they're off attacking other countries when NYC gets hit, then Megatron will just build a new base somewhere else and it was all a waste of time.
(The really odd thing is it took everyone THIS LONG to think about nuking NYC - and they didn't do it BEFORE the Decepticons were appearing elsewhere)

It ends with foreign nations saying they should nuke NYC. Ah right. Just like "Rhythms of Darkness" then. Spike Willkicky had better get up the Empire State Building with a US flag pretty darn sharpness in that case!

He should take some cheese sandwiches with him, in case he's up there for a while.
Hadn't noticed the paralells with 'Rythms of Darkness' before. Hmmm. That was done in 1 issue. AHM has been 6 issues so far? I can't comment on the quality as I don't even bother flicking through it in stores anymore.

Ah right. Just like "Rhythms of Darkness" then. And Twilight's Last Gleaming. Send in Mikaela in body-hugging black outfits!

The idea behind AHM is, im sure, one every transformer fan has thought of/written/played out/ect at least once in their lives and for all AHM faults, is it any wonder it's reviewed so badly
saying that AHM could be the best comic ever written (NO IM NOT SAYING IT IS) and im sure it would still recive complaints

What? Super New Character's Awesome Powers are toned down after Stunning First Appearance??!
What a twist!

Rumours that Pat Lee (now living in australlia under an assumed name following plastic surgery) is again working TF comics are currently unfounded......

I like the MaxDino5 cover

I find it hard to believe the stories won't interlock by issue 10. Maybe the Swarm comes to Earth? Or the Cons go to Cybertron?

If, from what I read on TFWiki is true, then the Swarm are reject Insecticons so might not be allowed back to Earth? When is the much-discussed traitor going to be revealed? Is it Optimus Prime in a twist-no-one-saw-coming?
So many questions!!

Issue 6 made me laugh. I counted five times where one character repeats a speech that another character says just a few seconds before. I believe that Mirage will be the traitor (can't imagine where I got that idea from) and Hot Rod will come up against Megatron, take hold of the Matrix and turn into Rodimus Prime.
Also, our fellow TMUKer Marc Graham gets a letter published.
