Human characters (that weren't very interesting anyway) got LOADSA screen time early on, and now they've evaporated like one of Tomo's bad TF jokes. Why put so much stock into the Humans if they just get brushed aside as soon as? That's a very good question.

So the battle for Earth, the thing presumably crucial to a plot about Decepticons winning, is only starting in the PENULTIMATE issue?!

Looks like I might have called it right when I thought AHM would not have an end but just be a springboard for the Next Thing...I hope to be wrong! -Ralph

On the back cover of Maximum Dinobots issue 3, there's an advert for AHM volume 1 TPB with the headline "Our Worst Fear Comes to Pass..."
Ho-hah!

For me, finding out the series following on from AHM also had AHM in the title was my worst fear come to pass!

Just finished reading the trade for AHM and yes its ok, I just don't understand a bleedin' word of what comes out of Skywarps mouth. Unless they're are portaying him as stupid and loyal, but even Lugnut can string words together. oy, that annoyed me, but Bombshell made it all better and is it alright that I don't understand most of AHM? Certian characters seem to flip so much.

Issue 8 has previews out.So we have a flashback further spoiling Max Dinos, an actually all right Kup/Ironhide bit, Auobots shooting at the Swarm who aren't actually on panel at all and so the scene looks a bit silly ("LET'S FIRE AT THE EMPTY SKY!"), and Reflector chasing some humans around bloody New York. Eh.

Drift as the traitor?
Andy Personally I've always said that because as a new guy he's had a HELLO I AM THE ONLY POSSIBLE TRAITOR above his head, but then apparently it was one of the Bots at the actual battle . Really it might be a good issue, there's some nice stuff in the preview, but eight issues in, it is too little too late.

Well as an experiment I just reread 1-7 again. It took about 15 minutes. That's not right!
Also not only is it really really slow, but the cliffhangers are all a bit dud too. And I'm not really seeing any of the characterisation people are raving about, especially not with the Cons (Kup is nice though, first time I've actually liked him)

Well to be honest you weren't cock-in-hand waiting for the return of the characters you saw in the Sunbow cartoon.
It is amazing just how much inference and projection is done by fans, not just Transformers fans but fans in general to justify their position on things. Anyone remember the Starscream fan from the Dreamwave/IDW boards?
Brrrr!

At least in Sunbow they occassionally fought each other.
Of course, if the series ends with Optimus Prime surfing to the rescue wearing a labcoat, all is forgiven.
I can't help but think that if it were 6 issues long it would be really pretty good. I guess there is a reason why they dont make Maxiseries any more

12 issues should accomplish a lot really. It'd be fun to time someone reading AHM and someone with either Camelot 3000 or Watchmen!

AHAHAHAHAHAHA "would you like to play a game?" I still can't believe they've made 5 films of SAW..
sunstreaker is so pwretty, he just ooozes it without trying even if he is miserable, he's fabulous!
I still don't see my cultists about, or crazy religious groups throwing other humans out to the Decepticons as they are less worthy than they....

The traitor is Sunstreaker, with Hunter used to hack the Autobot comms.
Oh sure, NOW you tie in to the -ations.
(Oh god, I left Sunstreaker out of the remastered scripts. How am I gonna get out of THIS one?!)

He worked with Starscream because he was pissed off at humans and over being abandoned on Earth.
