Just got round to reading this issue and somebody mentioned earlier that there were a couple of characters in The Man of Steel called Dille and Shin but did anyone check on their first names as well? Their names are Peter and Frank which, correct me if I'm wrong, were the names of Messrs. Cullen and Welker.

Not yet it isn't. It's still being reprinted in the UK comic!

Who are you, the narrator?
(And I suppose you'll point out I said this to you back in August 2002 and again in October 2004.)

It's one big nightmare that will keep on reinventing itself to keep going! After the UK reprints of AHM are finished I half expect them to start reprinting the story again or IDW will bring out the new Shame McCarthy epic All Hail Megatron 2 which Titan will also reprint!

AHM only has one used - that it is just Guido drawing adverts for the Universe IDW toys & all the reissues. But Hasbro haven't taken advantage of this.
New battle damaged 20th ann Optimus Prime. Universe Sunstreaker, Prowl, Sideswipe toys repacked with AHM logo on them.

AHM - just from #1-5
AUtobots are stranded on Cybertron after attack from Megatron getting the matrix. Decepticons head to Earth. Witwicky's in comic are relations to Buster/Spike/Sparkplug. Prowl puts out a distress call & Kup & co show up. Jazz not happy to see the Wreckers.

Without looking at what happens in AHM #6-12
I'm going to slot the story in between UK #95,96. All the characters are around at this time & it would also make Optimus Prime's choices made in Prey more meaningful [more than the plot of AHM as stands in IDW] - just mean afew explainations - like how somehow Kup, Hotrod, Kup forget about Prime & co. Fort Max leaves Cybertron after this story & before #98 [afew months later than originaly left]. Sunstreaker & Sideswipe new bodies - both of these where not used in the comic at the time. Jazz & Prowl - explain that as artistic liecence. Also follows on with the matrix story from UK #89,90. The Wreckers go to Earth to repair the Autobots from RAAT's. Then return them back to Earth. [we need to forget the whole pretender Kup storyline here]
Also Ratbat is on Earth doing research for events taking place in #128 [how did he know to send a chip to brain humans in #123 - the only Earth contact he had had was sending Tryticon in #111,112 & that was just damage from the Dinobots & a brief encounter with a female human]

The one thing i don't understand is the following [not about the story - mainly about comic shops]
If AHM #1-12 is so rubbish - how come all these issues are not in the 50p bins in comic shops/comic marts.
Leeds comic shops/marts i've picked up Animated #1-5 Defiance #3 NA/TF #3 for 50p each. But AHM is full price £3+ an issue.

At the marts they have 2 month old Marvel core titles there plus lots of animated & Simon Furman IDW comics going at 50p each. With the Marvel core you'd guess they make enough money from advance order sales to cover selling extra stock of cheap. But the only real use AHM is - is that it is actual an Guido how to draw Transformers art book.

I had a drive to York at the weekend & picked up AHM #6-8,10,12. Focus on cons. Timelines v2#4 Tales of fallen #4, Max Dinos #2,3 [adding on £3.50 car parking] came to £2.50 per issue. got ahm #9,11 coming in post £1.98 for both.
No one said that every issue of AHM as Nick's art on inside front cover. I'll have to get Guido, Nick & Kris to sign them to make them worth more than the cover price. Don't want Shane signing them & making them worthless.
I'm reading max dinos 2,3 before ahm

Just read Focus on cons
& from the text interview with that shane bloke - whatever his surname is. Chris didnt like where the IDW stories was at & Shane wanting to do a comic about the worst thing ever.

That Focus on Decepticons issue was a complete waste of money. As I recall it contained nothing that you couldn't find for free on the net.

It succeeded in saving me cash though, as it put me off buying a single issue of AHM!

Sorry to revive this but I finally have read the complete AHM after finding volume 2 in the library. So now I understand why Titan hacked up the back end of the series to finish it in about 2 pages, it makes for a better comic sadly. As a stand alone Volume one was bad, in terms of pacing and well nothing happening, but it felt like McCarthy at least had some idea where he was going with it. But by vol 2 its like he threw out the original plan and never replaced it. It's just gibberish and even only based on actions and plot from within AHM its feels contradictory.
12 issues and I think I cracked a smile once, was never tense, never surprised at least not in a good way. I think I was just bored throughout. And less than 10 minutes an issue to read. Bloody hell! So glad I never paid for any of this.

I guess if you'd bought each individual issue, and each alternative cover, of All Hail Megatron you'd crying to the tune of $200.00.
