Grimlock would be very annoyed that his thread is being derailed by THAT Pete

Given that I've dropped all of my TF purchases except the really posh MP (and BT) stuff. This may get a purchase.
I have a hankering for Henkei Cyclonus, but must be strong.
It did cost over £200 all in to receive my 3A Toys Ashley Wood Zombies V Robots based 'Bertie' figure.
'Bertie'.

Haven't you heard of Yamato's upcoming two-foot long 1:2000 scale SDF-1 Macross ? Pete 2 Foot Long Macross? Holy Bejimbers! I hadn't hear about that at all. I've been out of the loop for a couple of months (darn that interference on the fold-space radio!). I have now though. That is a thing of true and awesome beauty. A shame that it will likely be far beyond my reach financially. And also far beyond the reach of anywhere I have to display such a thing. (I am displeased with my bank account and the size of my house. They have failed to properly anticipate this eventuality :-) ). Karl

You worry unnecessarily Legios.
The Macross 1:2000 is sleighted for release in...drum roll...2010 !
You have one whole year to save up for this guy.
I know you can do it!
I believe in YOU!

Really can't wait to get my hand's on Grimmy after watching that video. He looks really sturdy and should stay in any poses he's in.

Now all I can think about is MP Grimlock standing on the prow of that giant SDF-1 declaring himself to be the King of Space. And wearing his little crown.

I think it would be better to get an in scale Sky Linx to recreate the cover from Marvel TF # 36. One of my all time favorites Pete

My Grimlock arrived yesterday.
The Box is unnecessarily large however which meant that opening it up was a little dissapointing. That's not to say he's small, he's not... Just that the box is masseeeve.
The transformation is as noted previously very much like the original in essence, but little touches to do with the way the legs/tail fold up, the way the Autobot symbol appears magically on the chest and the neck cog mechanism make it feel a little more interesting.
Also, the bow tie = win.

I gave MPG a miss in the end. I only have room for one giant dinosaur in my collection, and that's Trypticon.
But you have fun dressing yours up though!

The extensive photogallery of this in Generations 2009 volume 1 cured me of the urge to own this toy. It feels like I already do, looking at those detailed pics!

The original came with cartoon themed bis and pieces so no crown. Clearly this is the comic version. Would much prefer this one now, box is fantastic and the crown would have been my choice over the apron and stuff but what the hey. Still an awesome toy.

Hmmm. I checked and the original pics of MP Grimlock had the crown plus the other bits. Having the first release having the other gubbins, but the crown only with the second release means if you want all the originally advertised/solicited accessories you have to buy both releases. Never keen on that kind of business practice. Unusually poor show, Tomy.

I would definitely have held off buying MP Grimlock if I'd known the second release was coming. The cartoon accessories are just silly. Oh, well.

Shiny. I wish those photographs were larger. It's difficult to see, well anything.
One of the photographs shows a close-up of his hands. Anyone know if there are hand-related differences between the cartoon and comic MP?
Edit: Changed 'any' to 'anyone'
