well it was good but how good is going to be dependent on the next two weeks I think. This is going to seem like pointless filler if they dont make the mot of the Donna thing.

'Turn Left' was ok, but did feel a bit like a prequel.

What's your conclusion, Karl? -Nick About Leeds and Glasgow? Photo-finish. Depends on which areas you compare and contrast really. But Glasgow has a Borders and Leeds doesn't so I'd be inclined to rate the former marginally more positively. As to "Turn Left" - I thought it was pretty dull to be honest. One of the few New Doctor Who episodes where I have been tempted to turn off halfway through. The last scene, with the words everywhere, the overhyped dramatic music and Tennant doing his best "Doctor Gurn" was amusing, but I'm not sure if it was intended to be so. I think that they were going for dramatic. I kind of hope that the trailer covers both the remaining episodes, because if all of that stuff is just from next weeks episode then it does make it seem rather "over-filled" Karl

More stuff on Confidential at the end too including showing SPOILER in the shadows.

The only thing I thought was crap in 'Turn Left' was the appearance of the creature itself. Looked like it had come from a joke shop! All the creative editing and dramatic music in the world couldn't save it. What it did was not that original but spooky enough.
Frankly, the trailer for next week filled my pants. Now that's what I call fan service. I was especially excited by
THE RETURN OF THE RHINO MEN!
Other than the steaming turd of The Doctor's Daughter and a weak opening episode, I've enjoyed this series so far, though the third remains my favourite thus far.

Forbidden Planet - Headrow, Leeds {Its Doncaster that doesn't have any comic shops - only book shops are 1 waterstones, whsmith, the works}
I'm expecting DWC to state that they did some fake scene to leak out [not filming them - but just by the DWC crew]

I stand corrected.
Er... Leeds has a nightclub in the style of an old church and, as a result is likely to be nuked by god.

Ooh- that trailer was on the BBC news this morning. Well, most of it. BBC News (formerly 24) isn't exactly renowned for its spectacular editing and this was no exception, with the last five seconds of the trailer getting cropped because they were too close to the hour. It still ends rather abruptly. Glasgow had a nightclub in an old church. It 'mysteriously' burned down one night. In fairness, "mysteriously burned down" is Glasgow City Council's primary method of dealing with listed buildings/buildings where the owners won't sell up situated on ground that they want to build on. Er... not that that reflects particularly well on Glasgow as a whole but it at least makes it a less likely recipient of the combustion-based reckoning of the Almighty. -Nick

Yeah, it went down round about the time the owner (allegedly) was selling it off for shit loads of cash. There were 'rumours' about 'things'. The fire, late at night when no-one was about was not at all suspicious.

No spoilers here - just to get people thinking. In DWC we have mentioned that some unknown [to us - so forget about the Daleks] force is linked to the planets disappearing [mentioned back by The Master in series 3] So with how we didn't really know the Dalek where turning up at end of series 2 [also with the whole "you can't use the Daleks" by the Nation family when series one started {was this fake or for real?}] How would the series be if they didn't use the Daleks? Also is there another classic bad guy(s) who could make planet disappear [not destroy - I'm sure they have disappeared] Also could the missing planets have been mentioned at all back in series 1.2? Surely them being so far in the future they must have known everything that had happened in the past - Daleks on earth & stars going out. Or could that be a different future??? I think I know how they are filming the stars disappearing - just stand John B infront & his ego'll block them out.
I keep saying to people in office who will listen that I am sooo hoping for the Hand of Omega to be mentioned in next few episodes as it was last used against the big D and it is built to destroy stars. However, on your tack, could it also be seen as Omega himself, taking stars or power inot the anti-matter universe - my DW lore is a little thin so not sure if Omega still exists...mmm..thinking back to Davidson appearnce and him trying to take over Docs body makes me think this could have been used with Donna....mmmm
That thought amuses me - Bernard Cribbins as the "Big Villian" of the season..... He'd need a secret lair, though I hear Wimbledon Common is quite conducive to that kind of thing. Karl
Also just watched the last time we saw Davros
- in which the 7th Doctor states he is 900yrs old. Like how the 9th & 10th doctor have also stated.
Pete!!! The spoiler tag is there for a reason, discussing certain characters is a bit of a giveaway.

Right. It's time for me to come clean.
You may recall I was dreading the event of The Tate in Dr Hoop (Piglet still calls it Docor Hoop). I dreaded it as one would dread live organ removal. Well, I think the series started off weak, but slowly but surely, it's come good. I've quite enjoyed the last few eps. And I have to say, The Tate hasn't only grown on me, but I feel she's added a new dimension to the Dr Hoop this series and has been a welcome change from the whole 'unspoken attraction' rubbish. Tate has added some good humour and hasn't actually acted all that baddly. So, all in all, I stand corrected. The Tate done good!
