"I created this world through the power of my will. I created the organisms which brought you here. This is the source of the light stream you travelled along, and I created it. I alone! Omega! And it is not enough. None of it is enough. I am still trapped. As trapped as I was the moment I arrived in this, this desolation." Forty Years Ago tonight BBC2 continued the The Five Faces Of Doctor Who repeat season, concluding the fourth week with Doctor Who episode 333 The Three Doctors: Episode Four fivefacesofdoctorwho.blogspot.com/2021/11/blog-post.html?spref=tw

Just caught up with episode 4 on iPlayer, and it's the first one of the series to really grab me. I love the Weeping Angels.

Well, nothing happened last night to disprove the main part of my theory from last week. If anything it's only strengthened the case. So let's all brace ourselves for the 5th.

My prediction after 5 episodes, its all misdirection. The baby is explosive and the Doctor will throw him/her/them at er... The Flux and or all the nasty people whose names I still have not learned.
The 1960s scientist is the Doctors Dad.

I am still finding this to be a great run, with a point off for a certain character in this episode being thick as mince.

Trial got to The Ultimate Foe 35 years ago this week, part one yesterday. Every time I watch that episode my opinion of it grows. It's really good. The only thing letting it down is that Bonnie is in full panto mode in the courtroom scene. I guess because it was one of the first things she recorded before she mellowed a bit through Vervoids.

Additional mad theories for the finale: The Grand Serpent is actually The Master! As proposed in this article: www.denofgeek.com/tv/doctor-who-flux-is-the-grand-serpent-the-master-in-disguise/Here's my addition to that theory: He will turn out to be the Master, and at the end of the episode the Master will end up regenerating... into a little girl! Who will then end up being flung through the wormhole and found by Tecteun, who will raise her to become... the Doctor! The Doctor is the Master! Okay maybe that last one's a little far-fetched, but you know, I'm covering all bases...

I really hope the baby is just...a baby. From Chibnall? That seems unlikely. Anyway, it's just occurred to me that... ...the Grand Serpent is in fact...
THE VALEYARD.
Who will at the end of the episode regenerate into the young girl found by Tecteun. Thus becoming the greatest of serpents - the Ouroboros!
And that would work. The Valeyard is between the Doctor's twelfth and final incarnations - given the final would also be the first. And it's another explanation as to how the Serpent knew so much about UNIT. And why they'd actually want to use Earth as a haven. It makes sense! Kind of! If you squint!
I'm mostly trying to manifest these things so that Chibnall doesn't.

Series three now. I don't want Capaldi to go! Some mental stuff going on in his second series- 5 and a half billion years in that dusk jobby place?!?!?! Slightly confused with what happened to Clara. In series three Matt Lucas and Bill are superb companions. The Superhero story was excellent. Why were there two Christmas specials back to back? Why didn't he do a series in-between? I've realised I've disliked many, if not all, of the restarted Who's companions. Mainly because of the silly 'romantic' tosh that was going on between The Doctor and his female companions. Too soap opera. Then they bring their families and boyfriends- boring! (although I have far from watched all of Smith's Doctor). But from Clara onwards that silly romantic crap wasn't there. They were friends. Much better. Capaldi is so good.

I have now fully enjoyed a Chibnall season.
Not something I thought I would type.
Glad he resisted the urge for massive fanwank in the finale.

Yes. I was surprised, waiting for the rug pull, everything to come tumbling down. But it didn't. It felt like... Well, it felt like a Doctor Who story. I really feared this episode would be a setup for the next three, and it was, but no where near as much as I thought. It's also done a lot for the Sontarans.

Also finished up watching the extended Trial episodes today too, Part 14 is 35 tomorrow. Still got a few extras to go but I'm thinking I might go straight on next week with Time and the Rani.
