Marco Polo needs done so those who can't get into narrated soundtracks or recons can experience its brilliance. Also, I would like a commentary for it with William Russell while he is still with us.

I'm intrigued by the news in DWM that John Ridgeway is drawing a comic about Omega to follow the four-part mini being done about Lytton. That could be quite something.

The Lytton comic...does not look good. Therefore, I will buy all 4 issues.

There's a small error there too - the article says the artist has drawn Strontium Dog for 2000AD, which made me sit up. Having checked - he hasn't. He drew a Stront strip for Dogbreath. www.barryrenshaw.co.uk/credits/

Ooh.
Stuck the telly on as I had my lunch. Nothing good on Dave (Freeview 19), nothing good on 5USA (Freeview 21), but in between my two usual fallback channels was Drama (Freeview 20), with a repeat of new Doctor Who 2.13 'Doomsday'.
Cripes.
I'd forgotten how good Doctor Who used to be.
Feeling the need to get the two Rose seasons on shiny disc now.

I find that too. I used to wince slightly watching the RTD stuff, but on reflection it's become clear that those years were pretty good.

Watching 'Blink' tonight. I'd forgotten quite what a perfect 45 minutes of television that was. Martin

And I'm still trying to work out who came up with the words spoken by the Doctor on the DVD.

Enjoyed current DWM more than I have done for a while. Articles on obscure in-house adverts for lemonade and satellite broadcasting are right up my street. Also fascinating to see the percentage of TV licences being black and white during the 70's.
Next issue is another £10 one. Eep.

I was reading that today too and was going to post exactly the same thing! The articles still feel odd for a commercial magazine, but I suppose at the moment there isn't much else going on to talk about. The bit about using the scarf to place the lemonade photos was brilliant. I was amazed by the TV licence numbers too - I'd never thought about that.
I remember the 31 Who weekend very well. I had a friend at the time with BSB and he recorded a lot of that for me on a pile of vhs tapes I still have. Very exciting time seeing many Hartnell stories for the first time.

Very interesting to note that the Fury animation is being done by Big Finish and is stylistically different to the previous ones. Maybe the team doing macra/faceless will move on to Evil while this second team do others. If this means the BBC now have two teams working on these they must be doing well. Or maybe it means Big Finish undercut the other studio!

Who knows! While I would like all the Missing Episodes to be animated I am not expecting that but if Evil is not done I will go into a sulk.
My most wished for is The Massacre due to no telesnaps, not many photos and no footage. Arguably the most 'missing' story of them all. Even The Myth Makers has a few seconds of off-air clips.

Jolly good. I wonder how much was banked before March for the next release or if they're only now starting on the next one.

FORTY YEARS OF THE LEISURE HIVE!? *jumps off Brighton Pier* As of last Sunday. But Phil forgot to put these start date in his diary and forgot to check it all last week when his head was going "when does the Tom Blog restart?" Kind of apt since I was watching Buck Rogers on the other side when this aired!
