At least this time they had the decency to reply back to you.
I've got this week off work and I'm enjoying not having to get up before the crack of dawn to work at a place that only pays peanuts.

The week started gently with waking up at 9 to let the dog out before going back to bed to try and sleep off the booze.

This relies soley on Woolworths selection.
In that case, i'll be coming home with 40 Movie Legends Megatrons.

Gav, FPG and A1 Comics still had plenty of Sentinel Prime and Swoop in as of last Saturday.

Either it is Week 52 or we are in the midst of some unexpected temporal anomaly. If the later don't worry, a Time Lord will no doubt be along in due course to rectify matters. I had a hectic start to Monday - between our receptionist being off and a a lorry-load of work arriving on my desk that I really wanted to get polished off I was certainly kept fairly busy. It appears some of the work I was expecting today has been deferred until tomorrow, so I am expecting to be fairly busy right up until the wire. I've been busy cleaning my oven and various other houseworky things this evening - it is nice to sit down and journey to the Hub, with a nice cold drink in hand. I only have one more day to do at work and then I am free for a while. Looking forward to it immensely. Have a nice pile of readables to keep me going and am looking forward to some of the stuff that is upcoming on the Telebision. After a fairly busy latter end of the year the break will be much appreciated. Karl

They were selling their backroom tables and chairs, the safe, chairs and breakout area stuff - it was really sad. Although i was close to getting the Overhead Projector for 30 quid. I'll have a wee look in FP tomorrow if i can- possibly on Wednesday - if i can brave the Xmas eve rush.

Some positive news to report. My JSA claim has at last been properly processed. It's not a lot, but it at least allowed me to pay off a small overdraft, make a charity donation and sort out Christmas presents for folk, leaving me with about £20 until the 9th of January. Which, frankly, feels luxurious to me right now.
Bloke from 'Make it Work' I met for help last week was as good as his word and hooked me up with an outfit which have impressive facilities for helping people back to work (the exact polar opposite of the JobCentre Plus). There's a full-time intensive course running for three weeks from 18th January I've signed up for. Considering the time of year, there are few advertised vacancies so I'll almost certainly still be unemployed by then so I'll give it a go. Certainly can't do me any harm and it's something positive that might help me out.
Alas, letting agency have gone quiet. May have to fire a lawyer's letter up their arse in the New Year what with them failing to return my deposit for no reason. But there's bugger all I can do about it right now so best not worrying about it.

Glad to hear that some of the news is good for you Ralph. Hopefully a lawyer will be able to apply foot to lettings agency backside come the New Year.
My working week has now ended - left the office at ten to five and am now done for the week, and indeed for the year. Don't have to go back in until next year now. (That sounds good. No matter how many days it actually amounts to it sounds good when you put it that way). Did quite well in the office Christmas draw this year as well - not only did I get a pen (I can never have too many pens), but also a nice bottle of whisky as well.
I shall probably not be on T'Hub much for the next couple of days, so I shall say this now - have yourselfs a Merry Christmas folks, I hope it is good to you.

It was quiet in the library today. Indeed, I was the only person other than staff who was there. I sensed they wished me to leave while I quietly read my Conan book. Presumably the consumer hordes were elsewhere. Annoyingly, the public libraries in the area are shut on Friday-Saturday. Balls. It's not like there's anywhere else I can go.
Head is pounding. Lurgy is back. Again.

I think my legs are gonna fall off.
Toys'r'us keep records of daily sales totals for about three years. Monday was our highest take on record (SIX times our average sales target) and Tuesday was less than £1000 shy of it. We got a phone call from the CEO congratulating us that we had to cut short because the manager was serving on a till at the time to try to cope with the insane number of punters.
By the time I left today we had completely run out of Duplo, K'nex, jigsaws, Scalextric sets, Robo-sapiens, Power Rangers and Sylvanian families and most lines were down to just what was on the shelves. The shop is still open till 8 o'clock and I dread to think what will be left by the time the last punter is kicked out the door at twenty past.
The department I work in is, according to our own records, the busiest of any TRU in Britain and this last week it has really felt like it. I am, to coin a phrase, cream crackered.

My brother got me three TF Universe toys today - Voyager Heavy Load and Deluxe Galvatron and Acid Storm. I know that Acid Storm is the same mould as the Classics Starscream/Thundercracker/Skywarp toys and Heavy Load looks like a repaint of a Cybertron toy but I'm not quite sure about the Galvatron one.
After drinking some of the beer Santa generously gave me I'm now listening to the greatest hits of Def Leppard which I brought a few weeks ago but haven't got around to listening.
