I remember that well. The cage Sting was put in was previously occupied by Jim Cornette earlier in the show. He or Sting were'nt allowed to touch the gimmicked bars in case they broke before Robocop got there  90's WCW is a guilty pleasure. IIRC Kiss Demon (the gimmick at least) made an appearance on Impact! in recent years. |

Was underwhelmed by Mania too. The RAW after was much worse... NXT: Stand & Deliver and ROH Supercard of Honor were pretty decent though.
I'm hoping Tony Khan's announcement on AEW: Dynamite this week is going to be a good one.

What I don't get is... Reigns can't win without interference. So how should we view his long win streak? It shouldn't be celebrated when there's been so much cheating to keep it. I mean, long term you can argue that for him to be so over that the WWE will book it this way is something to be celebrated (with the side benefit that opponents look strong), but it's a run that will always have an asterisk against it.
If they'd done a big build and added to his character a level of paranoia and fear should he lose it, it would be interesting. Instead it's just a narrative of Reigns is god mode/goat/whatever so it's a bit conflicted.
Don't mind Cody losing, but it feels like Reigns is only going to drop the title at Wrestlemania and who else is high enough on the card to face him at SummerSlam, Survivor Series and RR? Do they bring in UFC guys now that's an option? Certainly not interested in another Lesnar fight and Gunther and Sheamus have elevated the IC title again.
Shane O Mac spot was ridic, did he learn nothing from his Dad about not pulling leg muscles too soon after entering the ring? I gotta watch it back and see how Snoop gets signalled to come in and lay out the Miz. |

I've seen the announcement on Twitter. Sadly, not the RTR sequel yet , but better than the last announcement of a backstage show that exposes the business. 35-36 minutes into RAW and no wrestling, until Elias comes out to wrestle in a random squash match with Omos (who was pulled out of catering). How are WWE keeping thier live crowds happy bar a couple of untelevised dark matches I don't know. The Brock heel turn was about as spoilery as the Free Willy movie poster and so obvious that was coming. That was the worst Raw after mania ever and it had Vince written all over it. Morale has definitley plummeted fast in the company. The TK Announcement is: We're getting AEW@ All-In at Wembley Stadium this August |

I didn't mind Cody losing either and I was'nt sure WWE were going to have Roman lose to a guy who only a couple of years ago was an EVP for the other company burying them on AEW shows. Would have been a much cooler outcome at Mania if Orton returned and ran off Sikoa or betray Cody. Having 3rd Uso hanging about made it more awkward watching that match
The IC Belt hardly gets defended at Mania. That triple threat was banger and sometimes its good to push the belt (Vince's least favorite word) itself as much as the wrestlers going for it. |

NXT was cool this week. Noam Dar is back! and he's brought the NXT:UK Heriatage Cup with him. There's now 5 Scottish champs on the brand.
Fans chanting "Fire Vince".
The NA Title scene continues to get good. I'm liking Wes Lee's current run.
Cora Jade is right little maddam and can actually execute the double-arm DDT properly.
Didn't care for the Bron Breakker turn. |

AEW have the potential to make All-In 2023 thier biggest show yet. If Tony Khan can get 90k tickets sold in the next 4 months and have Wembley packed to capacity, that attendance will surpass the recent Wrestlemania. The card to draw that many will have to be perfect though.
During that time, they could also improve on the UK TV deal.
George and I are thinking of going.

I mean the WWE won't have LA Knight pick up the championship from Reigns at Crown Jewel, but imagine... Just imagine if they did...
Also... A few weeks ago now, but that Edge debut was pretty great to see him with Christian again.

Crown Jewel was alright. The Roman match was predictable. The women's 5-way match was easily the best on the card.

Thought I'd take a punt on WWE network for a month as a tester to see how much use I get from it. There's no mention of costs until you attempt to sign up, the video quality is shockingly bad, Raw/Smackdown are 30 days late due to agreements with Peacock/TNT Sport and surreptitiously at the bottom of the WWE page is an opt out link for them selling your personal data. Not sure why I'm surprised.
