On my old computer I used up all of the region 1 settings on my DVD drive twice over - first with the DVD-ROM drive that came with the PC and then with the DVD-RW drive I replaced it with. I haven't bothered doing so with my new computer because I've got a multi region DVD player and an adequate TV to play it on (cheap TV's aren't NTSC compatible and you get the 'green screen' problem when trying to watch R1 DVD's on such a TV).

Not quite a cartoon but still a classic. Two of Camberwick Green's most well known residents messing everything up for their appearances in a porridge commercial a few years ago.

I got The Real Ghostbusters Season 1 for £6 in ASDA yesterday.
The episodes seem to be in a different order to what I remember, but it is nice to finally watch these uncut.

I've got my He-Man boxset and am pretty stoked! Can't wait to sit down and watch it all!
Of course, this means I now have doubles of vols 1-4. Does anyone want them?

I'm a fan of a large number of cartoons that I remembered watching as a kid and Toonhound.com has some quite good write-ups of a load of classic British cartoons. toonhound.co.uk/

Sounds like a good deal there Ken. I don't ever remember watching Dino Riders as a kid but I have seen the intro on Youtube before. I'll have to watch an episode or two sometime - maybe it was one of those cartoons that I watched back in the day but can't actually remember watching.

Found out that ASDA are selling Duck Tales and Chip N Dale 3-disc boxsets for £4 each. Will have to grab Duck Tales at least.

I used to be a big fan on Disney's shows in the eighties. The Wuzzles, Gummi Bears, Duck Tales, Talespin, Chip n Dale - they were all unmissable shows when I was a kid.

I remember Darkwing Duck but I never quite liked it. If my memory serves me correct I think he first appeared in an episode of Duck Tales before appearing in a series of his own.

Launchpad McQuack was in both series as was Gyro Gearloose I think. I'll have to check up on whether Darkwing Duck himself was in Duck Tales.

I would'nt be surprised if Drake Mallard/DarkWing Duck appeared in Duckberg for something or other.
Gyro Gearloose in Darkwing Duck would make a lot of sense.

Gizmoduck was better known as Fenton Crackshell and he appeared in both Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck I think. I did check on the Wikipedia entries for both Duck Tales and Darkwing Duck yesterday but I've since forgotten exactly what I read.

Currently working my way through the He-Man boxset. It is terrible yet wonderful at the same time. He-Man just moved the moon by throwing a rock at it. I love this so much.

I liked Paw Paw Bears but I reckon that intro could have been paced and edited a lot better. Good theme song too.

For years the Paw Paw Bears cartoon had been racking my brain. I could remember watching a show where they brought a giant totem to life but couldn't think which cartoon it was. It was only when I was idly stumbling through old cartoon intros on YouTube that I found it and decided to watch an episode. I was disappointed that it didn't live up to my expectations and thought that it was just too uninteresting to watch another episode. But then, thats what nostalgia does to you.

Don't ask me why but for the last two days the radio inside my head has been playing the theme tune to the Get Along Gang on a constant loop. For anyone not familiar with the song here it is

I've finally got my Star Fleet boxset. Very VERY nice boxset, might be the best DVD boxset I've seen in a while actually. It even comes with a huge booklet of all the tv mag comics they made!
The series is amazing too. it is £17 at Tesco's website Ralph, you know you want it
