I've heard of it but haven't seen it. It was an English dub of "Giant Robo", and was (I think) the first Tokusatsu show to be dubbed from Japanese for an American broadcast (breaking ground for things like Ultraman and the Sentai shows).
I don't know a great deal about it though, other than the fact that it existed.

Our local Somerfield is selling £2.99 DVDs of Filmation's Ghostbusters. I'm toying with the idea of getting a copy of the DVD (6 episodes) out of curiosity, but I think I may regret it . ===KEN

From what I've seen, it isn't great, but it isn't so bad it's good either. More boringly banal. Still, you never know!
The live action show it was based on is awful though

The postman delivered the M.A.S.K volume 2 DVD boxset today which contains the final 27 episodes of the first season and the ten episodes of the poorly received second season. I've just watched the first three episodes of this boxset and feel slightly underwhelmed. Most of the episodes on the volume 1 boxset weren't exactly well-written stuff and this continues the trend. I'll still watch it until the end though hoping that things will improve.

Is it me or is Orko perving on Teela in the early part of this storyboard? A close-up frame of her breasts also got me wondering if Filmation didn't realise that the show was aimed at kids!

I forget his name right now, but one of the artists delighted in putting in shots of He-Man in 'compromising positions', knowing full well they would be cut.

To my complete surprise, I found a She-Ra boxset in FOPP today which has the first 32 episodes of the series. Bit pricey, so wondered what it would cost on-line. I can find no such listing. I swear it exists, however! I touched it!

There isn't a R2 one, but an American one, you'd need a R1 player for it.
You can get the huge 10-dvd season 1 he-man boxset for 14 quid at the moment :v Well worth it!

The only She-Ra R2 stuff is the Secret of the Sword movie, the Secret of the Sword 2-disc set which also has 5 eps on it, and the She-Ra and He-Man Christmas special! I promise you what you saw was not R2, there has been no more official releases since the He-Man big boxset

I'm with Blueshift here. As far as I'm aware no boxset of She-Ra has ever been released on R2. America has seen many 80's cartoons released in boxsets though but over here in Blighty there is bugger all!

In a shop which does not sell R1 DVD's. I saw an R2 box set of She-Ra. I read the packaging notes. It was not a BCI release, who put out the R1 releases. If you want a picture, I can go back with a camera. Did you think I imagined it? -Ralph

Ah, so its a HMV exclusive release. That would make a lot of sense why it has slipped under the radar for most of us but that doesn't explain why it was in FOPP unless that chain of stores is owned by HMV.

I need to search out the last episode of Mysterious Cities of Gold.
Watched it from the start, missed the last episode when I was late home from school and it's famous for almost having never been repeated on tv.
Anyone know if it's on Netflix or Amazon prime?

The last few episodes of that show are genuinely amazing. The DVD set's really nice. Though I lent mine to my mum and she left it in the sun and now it's all faded

Mothers...
They need training in these things.
Mine still refers to transformers as "your little men".

I really don't want to spoil the memory. Ive had the DVD for over 10 years and only got about 6 epsidoes in. In fairness they were good so maybe I should just risk it. Has anyone watched seasons 2 (and 3 if it got made)? I asked for it for my birthday, but the deceptively titled Complete Mysterious Cities of Gold was bought instead which is in fact only the complete original series.
