Right. I have sorted out my leave for the third time. I have Monday the 3rd of May off as a public holiday and Friday the 30th of April off annual leave, so am flexible for travel.
I AM NOW FREE FOR FUN.

Is anyone hotelling it and interested in sharing a room/booking into same place? I'll wait and see what the majority's timetable is for the weekend before deciding whether to book into somewhere or just commute. Martin

Where's the main meeting place going to be for this, how central to Swindon station for instance?

Dunno the answer to that, James, but I gather the Scots will be staying in Swindon Friday night and then crashing here Saturday night before flying back from Cardiff Airport on the Sunday.
Is that right, fellas?
If it is confirmed that there will be a decent pub do on the Friday, I think I'll treat myself to a hotel room in Swindon Friday night rather than commute both days. I like my creature comforts... and any excuse for a hotel breakfast.
As James asked, whereabouts in Swindon should we be looking to stay, Phil, for easy accessibility to the fun and games?

You're welcome to come and join us at chateau Phil for a free feed on Friday night Martin if you stay in Pighill (James too and anyone else who's staying in the area) My proposal for the Saturday (thus far) is lunch at a very good cheap Pizza Restraunt(1) followed by a trip to the Historic Steam Museum(2) 1 - We need to check they'll have a party in at midday. It's very popular so we might need to be sitting outside waiting for them to open. £5 for an pizza or pasta at lunch time. It's the Italian end of the Pizza scale, so no Pizza Crunch. Sorry boys. 2 - the other side of the Outlet Village shopping center to the restraunt. I hadn't thought much before Midday due to knowing that there'd be some people travelling on the day (Ken, I presume you'll be on a day return trip) The station is the center of town. Regular buses between there and the outlet village (and Phil's Death Fortress). The fit amongst you might be able to walk it in 15-20 mins. Multimap shows the station, the bus station on Fleming Way, the restraunt on Rodbourne Road and the steam Museum (circled) on the same map. I'll make enquiries about a drinking establishment, but I do note the Town are at Home to Brentford that day which rules out anything town centre.

Looks like you've made quite an effort to get all of this sorted. I'll try and make the effort to go next year because it's largely out of the question this year due to lack of funds (I'm saving up for AA and one or two music gigs coming up).

So who else is coming to Swindon then ?
I know the Scots - Ralph, Andy, Karl & Nick - are flying down & staying here and Martin & James O are staying in town. I'm presuming Ken's coming up for the day.
Anyone else in ?

I will do my best to attend! It's a 2 hour journey by train it seems. Would the better plan be to go in Friday and book somewhere overnight, OR go in Sat morning and book somewhere overnight?
