Oooh, there are 8 available options. Not in this poll. But potentially.

My vote is, yes. I already actually have it as my stepdad was in America recently and got me the Walmart exclusive, but it is the standard edition so I'm selling it. I want the bonus features!

You can actually have about thirty answers in the poll if need be. My answer is yes. I shall get the DVD when it comes out in R2.

My dad brought it in on DVD before it was even out in cinemas. It was one of those special DVDs you can only get in pubs. Picture quality is okay apart from the bottom right which is obscured by a bloke in the row in front.
I've seen the film in cinemas four times now. The only other films I've seen that often are the original Star Wars trilogy and Raiders of the Lost Ark. I'm in no rush to get the DVD (an official release, anyway) as I can almost quote the film verbatim at the moment.

I'm another "in no rush" to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised that, if a barebones edition exists, when it gets marked down on Play or somewhere I might end up getting it. However, it isn't something I have a burning desire to own. I saw in once in the cinema when it was on release and haven't been fussed about seeing after that.
Besides, I'm not sure my TV and audio set-up is really optimal for that particular variety of "things blow up film". I'm not sure if I'd get much out of it on a smaller screen to be honest. I may end up owning it - I end up owning all sorts of fairly random stuff so I wouldn't be against it - but it isn't something I have an active plan to acquire.

I suspect I'll be unwrapping it Xmas morning. If not I'll get in when it's cheap - and then two days later they'll announce a super deluxe edition.

IIRC, I read at TF at the moon that ASDA are selling the version with the 'animated' IDW prequel comic. There's a sticker on the front saying so, apparently.
No plans to buy the movie, myself.

Eyepatch and peg leg aside, does anyone else hear Yarrrr pronounced in Sarah Ferguson's nasal accent? I'm comparing online Vs offline prices at the moment. The cheapest I've seen the 1 disc edition is 9.95 in Sainsburys, though I'm tempted to go for the metal case 2 disc edition on Play

FOPP have the tat-tastic 'transforming case' edition if anyone is trying to track it down.
Sainsbury's had loads of the 1-disc and 2-disc editions this morning. Popped in at tea-time as I had forgotten to buy loo roll earlier and noticed that the 2-disc editions had not shifted but the previously enormous pile of 1-disc editions were all gone!

I'm going to pass on it. DVD budget is restricted and I think I'd rather grab Doctor Who: Robot from the Virgin sale. Cheaper too! I shall stick with 70's BBC-budget Robot v UNIT for my giant robot fighting fix methinks!

I think I shall be passing for the moment as well. Might pick it up at a later date when it lands in a sale at a decent price. I can only afford one more full-price DVD this year, and since Bandai have started releasing "Flag" in the US I think that has first call on my folding paper pounds.

ASDA two disc version has three discs with an animated mini-movie - I assume it's the prequel stuff.

My Play metal case version arrived on Saturday. It's a rather smart and attractive version.
Being a bit of a completist when it comes to DVDs (though I have passed on the new RID releases - for now - because I have squillions of Battle Protocol already), I shall probably pick up the standard cover cheaply at a later date. It would be nice to get the Asda version, but I'm not going to pay out on it twice so soon!

The third disc from Asda version is indeed the animated prequel comic.
Not watched the film yet - working my way through the extras first.

Oh yes, audio commentary is the only feature to be left till after the film/episode is watched.
Extras are pretty engaging - Shia LeBeouf and Michael Bay being particularly engaging whenever they are talking.

Only thing that is annoying is nobody talks about the comic at all when they mention the prehistory, although the Alignment cover from the Transforce 2001 edition is onscreen at one point.

^That's a bit of an oversight. When the live action film was first announced, I remember thinking that however it turns out, maybe we'd get a decent comics documentary on the DVD like a lot of films based on comics seem to - yeah this is a film based on a toy, but anyway...
It is strange not to get a menton at all though, especially when the writers were said to have devoured the trades (as well as sunbow-verse DVD's) before getting started. Then again, there was a press handout containing a "Transformers Timeline" about the history of the brand, and the only mention Marvel get is that they released a four issue comic series.

Picked up the 2-disc edition and had a watch last night. Very nice and well put together. I'm not normally one for extras but these were quite good and made good use of the movie score.
One annoying thing though was that whenever I tried to go back to the main menu on the extras disks it just played a couple of easter egg type things. Maybe it's just my DVD player?

My brother bought the HD version from Play USA. It is glorious. Extras are very good, watched well over an hours worth without losing interest.
I'm torn between the Asda version (staff discount and comic) or the transforming case as it looks like the brilliant transforming Target gift card. The metal tin is very tempting but not as much as the first two.
