Anyone got the one from Asda with the animated movie [what is it - the original movie or preview of the new cartoon]

I suspect I'll be unwrapping it Xmas morning. If not I'll get in when it's cheap - and then two days later they'll announce a super deluxe edition. That's the prob isn't it? Really pisses me off when they do that! I couldn't vote, 'cos the category of 'receive for Birthday' wasn't there. Mrs Shockprowl did her bit for the cause and I opened it the standard 2 disk Monday morning. I've so far watched some of the special features, and I have to say, they're very good, enjoyed them greatly. I have a new respect for Bay 'cos of his desire to use live action as much as possible.

Ah yes, the mystery "off camera" 'What The Smeg Happened to Barricade' fight! Yeah, that'd be good.

Or 'Where the fuck was Optimus Prime while his team were doing the hard work?' fight as I call it.

Ah yes, the mystery "off camera" 'What The Smeg Happened to Barricade' fight! Yeah, that'd be good. See I never felt that there was anything missing there when I saw the film. I just interpreted it as Barricade doing a bit of mental arithmetic and not liking the result of the sums - and therefore dropping out to save his own hide. He'd been lone-wolfing it for most of the film so I figured he would be the first one to up and depart if he felt he was going to get scrapped to no good purpose. Karl

Karl I know what you mean, but I just feel he was such an interesting character in the forefront of alot of the film, for him to just disappear without a trace is a bit odd at best. I hope he did think "Screw this!" and got the hell outa there, but we should have seen it, or something eluding to it. One sec he was wizzing on with his comrades, the next puff! Vanishing act!

Whilst watching an advert for the DVD on T.V last night, my Missus turned to me and said:
"Y'know, i don't think anyone's bought you that for Christmas"...
I turned my head slowly towards her...a vicious glare on my face.

No doubt I'll open a huge elaborate box, and it'll be sitting there amidst the scrunched-up newspapers.
My family love that whole 'fakeout' crap.

For a fix of seeing a TF (2007) poster on TV, watch Hollyoaks tomorrow at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

I can pretty much guarantee that my family will not have bought me this on DVD. Not that I would get an answer from them if they had other than "we'll you'll just have to wait and see". (There are no hints and no clues ever given in my family. The closest you get is having a poke and a shake at the presents when no-one is looking. Which, with the way my mother and sister wrap things provides exactly no useful information....) Karl

I had my first moment of temptation in Sainsbury's last night. Thankfully, they only had the expensive 2-disc version and so the moment quickly passed. Phew.

Is there a Sainsbury's on the way home from your usual drinking establishment?

Yes.
In all seriousness, I doubt very much I'd pick it up when half-cut. I've, ah, had a copy via alternative means for quite some time and I never watch it.

I can see it. Friday morning. Ralph wakes up with a pounding headache. With a wince he turns his body away from the light shining through the curtains. Suddenly he feels a strange shift. There is something else in his bed. "Oh God, what did i do last night?" he mutters under his breath before whipping back the covers to reveal the special edition.
