Masterforce (subtitled) on Anime Central
Just happened to watch an episode last night (the one where Black Zarak is possessed by Devil Z and then blows up the Decepticon base), and it was subtitled... Bit confusing as a couple of weeks ago it was the dub. Welcome though.

The Madman release of Headmasters is somewhere between Australia and Burns Towers. If it has sturdy packaging like their Beast Wars sets and the Holy Star Dub put on properly with the decent subs, I can myself replacing Masterforce and Victory with the Madman releases in due course.

According to the item description the tape only runs for 30 minutes which means it will only have just one episode on it. What episode it is I don't know but judging by the 'V-10' in the top corner of the tape sleeve I'm assuming its episode 10 in the series or maybe just the tenth volume of the video series to released. I've tried translating the Japanese writing by using a Japanese dictionary but have got nowhere.

It's a clip episode called "You Too Use the Masterforce to Transform," which covers the characters and events of the whole series (which was the fifth of five such clip shows, but unique in that it was the only one broadcast on TV in Japan, as the 43rd and final ep of the series), plus a video-exclusive featurette, "Shuta and Grand's Masterforce Super-Secrets," which does its level best to pave over all the plot holes in the show. Read some more. |

English dub only on 4 eps why not more, they could!
Set is thus not as advertised,
Madman by me is currently despised!
More from them I will not buy,
Even if they plead and cry!

A subbed version has been available online for ages,
You may need to search through many many pages,
I downloaded it through a torrent once upon a time,
But some how lost it, the error was my crime.
It may be on the tube that is you,
Beware though their video quality is poo,
I'm sure you will find it somewhere yes really,
Though on the dvds all the info you need is explained by Chris McFreely.

Is there a subbed version of this doing the rounds yet? Yeah, TVNihon subbed the whole "Big Book," but I don't think any of their individual torrents are still running - you'd have to download the whole series.
