General ballpark is around 250, if you count all releases (including universe, reissues, same name recolors, and the gestalt robots)

Wow. I had no idea. I need to look at this. Two years of retail waves? 89/90?

Wow. I had no idea. I need to look at this. Two years of retail waves? 89/90? Plus the reissues and same name recolors of the three combiners, and the hasbro Universe releases of those. 18x3=54. So even if you knock out the likes of Rail Racer and Black Sixtrain, you're still left with around 200.

I like the fact that the Decepticon air strike patrol have perfected a teamwork approach yet don't get on with each other.

OK, a little tech-specs analysis time:
Monster Trucks Patrol have teamwork 10. Hot Rod Patrol, Metro Squad, Off Road Patrol and Rescue Patrol have teamwork 9. Air Patrol, Battle Patrol, Construction Patrol and Race Car Patrol have teamwork 8.
Astro Squad, Construction Patrol, Off Road Patrol, Race Car Patrol and Rescue Patrol have co-operation 9. Hot Rod Patrol, Metro Squad and Race Track Patrol have co-operation 8 (Race Track Patrol being the only Decepticon team to achieve is high as an 8 in either of these categories).
Generally the Deceps can't get above 7 in these categories (Battle Squad, Constructor Squad and Military Patrol getting double-7s).
Air Strike Patrol have teamwork 2 and co-operation 2.

My Stars... There are so many!
Fascinating how the Techspecs were altered to include Teamwork and Cooperation. And that the Decepticons generally are not as good at these things as Autobots. Very fitting.

Could someone please explain to me how co-operation is different from teamwork?

I think cooperation is more working directly in tandem with someone. And if you just don't get along with that person, it's really hard to do.
Teamwork though is working within a group, doing your part, and trusting your teammates to do their part. Even if your personalities clash, you may be able to trust your teammates to be competent at what they do.
Cooperation is a three legged race. Teamwork is a relay race.

Wait a minute. How does the air strike patrol have teamwork 2 when the written bio says they have perfected a teamwork technique?

Perhaps they just have incredibly low standards.

Cooperation is a three legged race. Teamwork is a relay race. That really helps!

Perhaps they just have incredibly low standards. All that's the *only* hinges they can do together... but you know, they do it well.

Pinwig is facing Micromaster base temptation. Pinwig finds himself teetering on the edge of another rabbit hole. All this recent discussion about playsets in some threads and Micromasters in others. Well. Curiosity got the better of me. I had to see. I've obtained a Skyhopper. Boxed, complete. Very dusty - needs a clean, but it's sound and the stickers are probably good enough not to need replacing. So this is my first ever proper G1 micromaster. My word, he's a lot like an Armada minicon. But with the plate in place in the cockpit he can fly his own chopper. Which turns into a base. I like the fact that when he's in the chopper he's the right size for it. Hmm. I may need more of these little chaps. As I am a True Friend I'm making sure he can see this thread

Spent the last hour taking apart all the bits of Countdown's base that aren't the main bit, de-labelling and giving it a good scrub. Coming up lovely. Next weekend I'll do the main base piece and hopefully over Easter get a reprolabel set on it to restore it to its original look.
I like the fact these bases are big simple things. The whole rocket piece is just held together by ten identical screws. Easy to break down and rebuild.

I've still got an amendment sheet for you. The labels for Nemesis PotP's wrists on the original sheet aren't cut properly and I got sent replacements. Tiny sheet the size of a postage stamp. I haven't forgotten it!

Countdown's labels have arrived. They look an excellent match for the originals (sometimes Toyhax are a bit off with their G1 stuff). Today's top priority is now to finish scrubbing and destickering the base. He will be restored to glory! Schoolwork can wait.
