Well...
That was something.
I... I just connected two Micromaster bases together for the first time.
Talk about exciting. I feel like I ought to be smoking a post-connectal cigarette.
What a rush.
Siege Roadhandler found it so exciting both his legs fell off.

All my bases are long gone. All I have left MM-wise is Erector and the wee Hot Rod.

I made a thread about it, didn't think it went in the base thread as they're not really a base.

Pinwig's Micromaster adventure continues. The Autobot side of Phase One is complete! Countdown - disassembled & unscrewed, scrubbed, remnants of old stickers off, reassembled, runway hinges oiled, one tiny crack glued shut, reprolabels applied. Pretty much there now, just need to do something about Countdown himself as his white parts are yellowed. Groundshaker - scrubbed carefully as labels were fine, main cannon sourced separately as that was missing.

I have got the bug here. Decepticon photos forthcoming. I need a label sheet and two missing accessories to complete Phase One overall.

I'm continuing to educate myself about Micromasters. Came across this Microman repaint of Countdown from 2000. Oh my word that is glorious! www.microforever.com/rocketbase.htm

Yeah I assume they were in a limited run for this figure. Plus one of them remaining intact must be quite rare. Countdown was a Woolies exclusive here, which I think back in those days had a store on every street!

I have one of those, they're lovely. Need to find a Micromaster to pair up with the base. I don't think the gold plastic is the GPS style. Also, it's hard to see in pictures, but the body of the rocket has clear plastic over silver, with a smokey grey base, really nice. That one on YJ is pretty much the current going rate for a sealed one. There is a limited to 50 Lucky Draw version called Gold Rocket Base, but I've never seen pictures. Same line also resuses Action Master Prime's truck: www.microforever.com/Microtrailer.htm

Ive had rocket base for over a decade. Thankfully gps doesnt seem to be an issue but as Jim said enough translucent plastic to be a concern.
I've been looking for one for Toyfu for six months but have yet to come across any other than the misb one linked above.
Well thats not strictly true, we'll have the Rocket from Rocket base available. Probably.
