Where the heck is that plane base from?
What else do you need for complete set of MM Hasbro/Takara bases? The back and gold countdown base and are there another Sky Garry and Grandus recolour available?
I must try this one day.

The Countdown is a 2000 Microman toy www.microforever.com/rocketbase.htm There's also an AM Prime truck and 2 G2 cycles in the same range. 1999/2000 Microman has some cool stuff. The plane and the Return of Convoy/Zone recolours are Brave toys: Fire Dagwon(plane) Dag Base(Grandus)I can't find pics of the Sky Garry, Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber Brave repaints on line, but I can recomend the Brave Saga History book fo some decent photos.

After writing that I went on YJ and found another Brave countdown base that I just won for about £20.

Hot damn! Were there any more?
I narrowly missed out on the Brave versions of Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber on YJ a couple of weeks ago. I was beside myself. Other than that I just need Skyhyper (not so fussed about Landshaker, as it's the same base with a different Micromaster) and, as you say, the Microman iteration of Countdown which I somehow forgot about.

Yeah sorry Microman, I tend to think of Transformers coming from Microman and going into Brave.

I'm relieved as I had to outbid someone using Shopping Mall Japan and thought it might be you. In fact I did i twice today, got an Overlord and what is probably a KO diaclone Devastor and other figures.
Oh and no more microman coundowns that I saw. Someone was having a Microman clearout by the looks of it.

Nick, did I see you needing a Micromaster combiner chase piece too ? The MM Combiners are looming on the Phil review radar so I though I'd insert pleas for the bits people are missing.

I had a dream last night where I was at a car boot sale with some fellow Hubbers. I found that Brave plane. Nobody was really sure if it was a Brave toy, not even Nick, until I transformed it and he realised that, oh yes, it was. Then I found the steam engine, too. Nobody was bothered that I was finding these toys, barely interested, not even when I found both Grandus and the recoloured version, until I said I was going to add them to my Micromaster city, then everyone was really jealous.

The Brave plane is a possible boot sale find, there was an oversized Power Warriors KO in the Argos Catalogue a year or two back.

Q: Which of the MM Sixteams were imported & sold in their Japanese boxes in the UK (through Virgin and others) I know Sixliner was, but did Sixturbo or any others make it over ?

Have you got the 1989 and 1990 UK catalogues? Everything on the Micromaster sides in there, basically, is a good place to start. Star Convoy has been reissued and will be fairly cheap, and you don't need to worry about Sky Garry as there is currently one on a boat on its way here for you I was *incredibly* lucky and got Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber and Roadfire for 75 quid plus shipping on Yahoo Japan a few years ago- cheap because they were all missing their stickers. Grandus was harder to come by and complete ones go for megabucks. I believe you can get Fire Dagwon (the 747) new on BBTS just now, and while Dugbase was pretty much worthless on Yahoo Japan a couple of years ago (I got mine MISB for a fiver!) I haven't seen any about these days. The red Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber are almost as expensive as their TF counterparts, owing to being villains and thus less popular the first time around in Japan. Here's Fire Dagwon: www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=SOK10018&mode=retail&picture=inI actually fancy getting a couple of Brave figures from them, so if you fancy anything give me a shout and we can buy them all together and get uber-reamed by customs. At least it's only one clearance fee. -Nick

I just recieved Star Convoy in a package of YJ stuff this week. I was able to get a MISB one for 2510 which worked out with fees to be £31.34. Frankly by the time shipping got added I might have been better getting one off of ebay, though the sealed one probably cost a little more quite a few opened ones sell a bit cheaper I've discovered.
Also I'm calling it Optimus Prime because all the silver makes it, well, Prime like.
