As I mentioned in aquisitions thread, just picked up a Sky Garry MISB delivered from Japan for £81.
The price seemed too good to turn down (even considering the warehouse find) but I don't really know too much about him other than tfu.info photos - couldn't even find YouTube review, so my question is:
Is the toy any good?

I have a KO Sky Garry I got at Botcon Europe. Not a bad figure as a KO, but it makes me want to own a proper one all the same.

This thread has persuaded me to get a Death Garry and slap Decepticon stickers all over it.

I have a Skyhopper in pretty good condition, a Greasepit in excellent condition and the one and only one I had back in the day, Ironworks, who just has a broken tab on the yellow roof. I don't have much love for Hothouse or, er, the other one, but yeah there's a whole bunch I'd be happy to pick up and am manfully resisting. -Jim

Another reason why a Dai Atlas reissue would be most welcome.
Is there a definitive list anywhere of which Transformers can link up micromaster base style? Sounds like the kind of thing there should be.

MICROMAN Countdown Repaint
Gorgeous thing. One day I might even dare to take it out of bubble wrap.
Edit: Can the Battlefield HQ set actually join up with other bases? I can't remember it having any connectors for the ramps.

There are Brave versions of the four smaller bases? I've never seen them in any of the English language Brave websites. All two of them... I love me some Micromaster bases. I was fortunate enough to have obtained the four mini bases, the Battlefield HQ and Countdown back in the day. I've been incredibly fortunate with Yahoo Japan over the years and have managed to obtain all the Japanese bases apart from Skyhyper that continues to elude me, and Landshaker that is exactly the same as Groundshaker but comes with a different figure. If memory serves it's a black Roadhandler. Ralph and I combined all my bases into Micromaster Asgard a few years back, which we took video of and hosted on Youtube. Sadly the video has since gone the way of all things. I managed to get an incomplete Fire Dagwon and a boxed Dugbase (the Grandus repaint, which is extensively remoulded and sadly doesn't have the Star Convoy connector to motorise his lift) on Yahoo Japan a few years ago. BBTS had a mountain of Death Garry Guns for $50 a pop a couple of years ago. The Dai Atlas and Sonic Bomber repaints have waved their repainted backsides at me from a great distance for yonks. HOWEVER, two weeks ago I was randomly flicking through the "Super Robots" category on YJ and came up with (and subsequently won) this bad boy. I'm so happy. I really hope the red Dai Atlas gets reissued by Takara directly or through eHobby. It's an absolutely cracking toy with features up the bum and the red version is very pretty. I'd love to see Sonic Bomber in both colours because he's a nifty wee figure and combines neatly with Dai Atlas and also I don't have the red one, and I'd also like to see Roadfire (and maybe even a Brave-inspired version in... blue?) because I've been looking for one for Nick Roche off and on for about for years now. -Nick

On a related topic..... Phil believes the first 3 Micromasters Patrols were released in 1988, not 1989 like TFU says, and on the Micro Transformers backing cards I am under that impression, especially due to the different card design

Bubbling under: Sixliner. I knew nothing of him at the time, but recently acquired the Universe / Cybertron repaint and it's a fine set. -Jim Have you got any of the other MM Six Combiners Jim? I picked them up when they were reissued and loved them. I'd like to vote for them when we get to 1992 but since as we all know 1992 was the best year for Transformers ever that may be somewhat difficult. So who else loves the Micromaster Sixcombiners? And which ones do you have?

Have you got any of the other MM Six Combiners Jim? I picked them up when they were reissued and loved them. All but Defensor, who I eBayed the other weekend as I found him the weakest. Sixtrain is best, I think, followed by Devastator. -Jim
