Somewhat overcast today. I shook my fist at the heavens in rage.
EDIT: Was about to pop out for my evening stroll, but it's pissing down. Drat.

It has been extremely warm here too - went out for a walk for a couple of hours this morning and it was fine and dandy. Unfortunately by the time I came back I had a raging bout of hay fever, and had to go back out into town to get some Piriton tablets.... It would appear that summer has chosen to formally arrive over Falkirk

Yeah I noticed my hay fever start to creep up on me today on the way to work and then later on when I was taking Susie for a constitutional.

Gumph, hey fever is bloody horrible. I don't suffer myself, but Mrs Shockprowl does. Pain in the arse. The hey fever, not Mrs Shockprowl. Sympathy to all sufferers!

While pretty damn annoying, it's nowhere near as bad as when I was a nipper and often had to stay inside on sunny days in the summer.

For the past week my nose has only really stopped running when I'm in bed and it no longer has gravity on its side. It gets especially bad in the kitchen for some reason. I've been taking my usual homeopathic remedies but I seem to have become immune to them over the winter. I got some stuff from Boots yesterday, which worked well for about 7 hours (a bit of a pain as they're one-a-day tablets). I'm going to keep it up and see how it goes.

I've actually not been so bad today. A combination of the psychological effect of having Piriton tablets to hand if I need them, and the fact that when I came in I gave my face and hands a good wash in cold water - great for getting the pollen off me it seems.

With it transitioning back and forth between the two with only a few minutes warning. Needless to say I have stayed close to the house. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a sign of some impending unfortunate event in the space-time continumn. Karl

We've had a bit of both sun and rain today. It started off with sun then we had a quick shower before the sun came back out, then a torrential downpour and finally the sun is back out again. What the hell is going on?

There was a strange window of about an hour yesterday afternoon between torrential rain when the skies cleared and it was rather warm. Thus did the Burns Clan rally to the cause of the holy barbecue and burn dead animal products before the rain came. Twas good.

I got out of work and the weather was fine. I waited for the bus back home and the weather was still fine. I got on the bus and the weather was still very much agreeable. The bus got into my home village and it absolutely pissed it down! I got off the bus and ran like a sprinter to my house.

More typical British summer weather today. I was walking back from my local Morrisons store when all of a sudden it got quite windy. I was smoking a fag at the time and ended up ditching it because I couldn't smoke it in this wind. It wouldn't of lasting much longer anyway as, within two seconds a downpour occured and soaked me to the seconds in no time at all. Think standing in front of someone's house and somebody throws a bucket of water over your head from the bedroom window and you'll get an idea of how fast this rain came and how wet I felt.

Ralph and Karl went out to have a barbecue this afternoon. Sadly I could not join them as I was working. I gather they had a one hour window of opportunity to get the deed done when it was not tipping with rain, as is traditional for summer barbecues in the west of Scotland.

It is pretty foul here as well. The wind has been fairly strong most of the day, but fortunately the rain has only been intermittent. The worst of it is that it is extremely cold. Fortunately I have a large dalek mug full of coffee and am off to settle down with a good book for a bit. So whilst the weather outside may be worse than iffy, inside the house all is right with the world.

The doors were nearly blown off their hinges at Toys'r'us as I was leaving. It was *wild*. According to an earlier weather report, we're supposed to have received half the month's allocated rain over the last 24 hours. I can believe it. Seems all clear out there now, though.
