Extrapolating from the various merchandise floating around leads me to assume that like Ewoks and Wookies, Porg is the identified of a species of some kind. I'm presuming a sapient species until proven otherwise, as we haven't seen very many undeniably non-sapient non-humans in current canon in the Star Wars galaxy, so by statistical norms it feels like we should assume sentience and sapience until proven otherwise. (Which actually makes the Empire's almost entirely human ranks look even more like a statement of their racist, Humans First, credentials...)

The best way to watch Episode III is just to listen to the score on its own. A much better film in exactly the same way the score for Transformers 2007 describes a completely different film.

I wish more films did. If I could watch the LOTR films with just the music, I'm not sure I'd stop.

Isolated scores were a feature in the early days of the DVD market but don't seem to be a thing now.

Yet more Star Wars filmsCould turn out good, but I miss having a Star Wars film every three years, rather than an announcement every few months.

I just want Fozec and Tezeri 3.75" action figures, then my 'Jabba's Palace' will be complete.
The 'Jabba's Palace' escape. Star Wars at it's best. 'Return of the Jedi'- don't you see? The Jedi return.... returns to save his friend....

...his friend who is pointlessly killed off in the next episode! -Ralph Decades later to be fair. Here's a question. Why was Episode VII set 30ish years after Episode VI, other than because they wanted some of the classic characters to appear (before being killed off), and the actors were 30ish years older? Is there any other reason? It seems a lot of important things happened in the 30 year gap, which would be worthy of being an Episode, but we don't get to see them because 30 years have passed in our world, and so 30 years have passed in Star Wars. Except Episodes I-III, Rogue One and Han Solo aren't bound by the passing of time in our world. So why do Episodes VII+ have to be? I suppose it's pointless to gripe about it now. I just would have found the implied events which have been skipped over more interesting to see than the events we are now offered, which are so similar to the scenarios of the original trilogy. Ten years from now, we'll have tons of Star Wars films which we can arrange in chronological order, some with Episode numbers and some simply called 'A Star Wars Story', and it will look completely arbitrary as to which are called Episodes and which aren't, in terms of quality. There may be a strong case for a mass renumbering. In fact there already is, as Rogue One is blatantly the Episode before Episode IV. Grumble grumble moan moan Martin

Ive been thinking the same. I would have liked to have seen Episode VII set during Bens training, ending with him killing the other students and joining Snoak. With some make up/cgi the old cast could have played slightly younger than their age or simply setting that film 30 years later and Episode VIII 10/15 years after that.
That would have allowed the audience to see the peaceful happy world they built after ROTJ before diving in to another war. For everything wrong with the prequels I do think it helps to see the world before the empire took over.
Episode VII would then have been a combination of TFA and TLJ.

Going by how writers and directors are hired and fired since the films started up again it looks like the folk in charge of the films are just making it up as they go along anyway! Which to be fair, is how the original films were made.

The Prequels were made up on the fly too. There has never been a grand plan for Star Wars.

Shakespeare made it up as he went on (and sometimes wrote plays with other people) and that worked out ok in the end.
