Intersting, if people really were only sticking with AHM because it was a conclusion/continuation of all that came before then his new mini should bomb if its mostly an isolated story.
Or are TF fans real suckers.

No, I think it is more that people are easily seduced by pretty art. Heck, I liked the first few issues of the Dreamwave first mini before I realised the story was utter tosh.
Yes, yes, Pat lee, I know...

Then our only hope is to replace the artist with someone who is either rubbish or has a less easily-accessible style...

They should get Chris Cross to do the art - i didnt like his art when he started doing X-Man & then Slingers.

I love his style. Unfortunately, he can't do a monthly gig.

I wasnt keen on his work - only seen it in those 2 titles when he started out. He might have changed his style- but not looked. But both these comics where both monthly books which he was keeping up with - so might explain the art style seeing that above posts state he now can't do monthly.

He's notorius for it. He's on a 6-issue mini for DC right now, Dance, but of the 5 issues out so far , 2 have required fill-in art. He was away from US comics for a while after he crashed and burned on a DC title the name of which escapes me right now.

He moved on to Captain Marvel Vols 3 and 4, Firestorm for a bit and some issues of JLA.

Ah, Firestorm! That was it! Did he not have some kind of blow-out? I remember him apologising online to editors, etc that he had pissed off.

I have to admit that at this point in time, having read a couple of issues of All Hail Megatron before I dropped TFUK, I'm not sure that it matters to me who draws the series - the presence of Shane McCarthy as a writer makes me distinctly unenthused about it.

Karl I'm only getting AHM (still need coda) because I collect all Transformers books, btw why the hell are they putting Spotlight TPB Volume 5 as AHM?!?! How dare they!

No, the Spotlight thing is finished for the foreseeable future.
As for McCarthy - pfft. Probably be some crap about Daft and his Magical Third Eye Faction.

I havent read the most recent spotlights or coda, or whta has been announced about the newer stuff, is there a new faction or something else that is clearly fan-fic-ish?

It's another Shane McCarthy 'epic'. I think I might steer well clear of that one.
