That would have caused great offence. No alcohol allowed on the premises.

It amuses me.
I will be home alone as a husband for the first time this evening as Jen is going down the pub. I am not yet mentally ready to tackle being in a pub so I will be staying in!

I had planned to return to the pub by now but Johnson's idiotic Freedom Day plan to infect a third of the population has put paid to that for a while for me.

I had planned to return to the pub by now but Johnson's idiotic Freedom Day plan to infect a third of the population has put paid to that for a while for me. Yep, same here. Even though I'm double-jabbed, I just don't want to risk catching it and passing it on to the Conjunx or the Scraplet. Or anyone even more vulnerable. I just wouldn't be able to relax... so I won't.

Yeah, my wife is both double jabbed and has had covid so she has antibodies up to the max and is very careful so I'm not worried about her being out. I just don't feel safe myself so indeed would find it hard to relax for now.

I've noticed a change in mask wearing this week. People getting lazy. Straight after the last rule change everyone in supermarkets was still masked, but now its half and half. I feel like my mask should have 'this is for your benefit, not mine' written on it.

Masks are still required in shops in Wales, and people are still wearing them. When the rule is lifted I plan to use judgement based on how spacious the shop is. Confined, cramped or crowded spaces are where masks reduce (but do not remotely eliminate) risk of transmission. Big, spacious supermarkets where there's a lot of air per person and social distancing is possible except for very fleeting contacts - I'll probably revert to no mask but make sure to give people their personal space.
Don't judge people too harshly just based on whether they wear masks. Some mask-wearers may have symptoms or be ignoring contact tracers and think the mask makes being out and about OK, when it isn't. Some people not wearing masks may not be able to wear them, or may know they are low risk to others due to lifestyle / having taken regular tests and be making a considered risk-based decision.

From other threads: Second anniverary of my first date with my now wife yesterday. We had planned to go to an Indian restaurant we like which has all the tables spaced out but changed plans as I haven't got my covid booster yet and the mixed messages from Government is very confusing. Had a takeaway instead. -Ralph I've got essay planning tomorrow night. -Ralph Would anyone like to guess *WHERE* Ralph is essay planning tonight?
