Generally I only want to see as much as I would have from one of the G1 catalogues that came with the toys. Obviously the picture are a bit more numerous now and bigger, but I don't want to sit watching a video to find all the cool things it does or has. I'm paying good money to be suprised by those features when the toy arrives. It no different than my avoidance of spoiler heavy review of movies I intend to see. In this case already owning at least one version of each MP mould, yeah I probably would have bought it without see any previews though. |

I'm the same, in terms of avoiding in depth pictures/reviews.
It's an expensive toy to buy and open knowing exactly what you're getting.

And my opinions are completely reversed with the side shot of the back kibble.
It looks utter crap.
From the video on Amazon.co.jp, his back section is in three obvious parts separated by air. It bugs me.

I heard a wee rumour this morning that the price originally quoted by importers of £130 is way below the mark, apparantly Takara upped the price or something.

Toyspark (aka Frankie) is still selling them for £138 through ebay. I wonder if this is a Hong Kong vs Japan issue?
He normally marks his packages cheap to get them in under the customs radar.

I remember receiving an email from HLJ about some new laws in Japan about shipping by air, or something to that effect.
Is that still the case? And is that what is bumping up the prices?
Or is it just that the RRP is higher than first announced?

Well, Frankie/Toyspark has got in touch. He has both the Japanese version and the Hong Kong version that includes the display box and coin. The display box looks huge and he needs an extra £20 for shipping due its size!
