After further testing (play) I seem to have avoided all the issues besides the guns not staying in the hands the pegs are just far to small for a secure fit. That and the spoiler scraping the paint from the trailer when combining.

I watched a review about the spoiler - but what is the green thing about? is that the plastic turning green like how plastic can turn white if bent. or is it green paint underneath?

Yeah I didn't really get the green thing wither. The orange paint is scraping of the inside of the trailer and looks red. I saw no green. If the spoiler is painted maybe the plastic underneath and the yellow and orange paints are mixing some how.

The box looks huge though, and I'm not spending £20 for a coin (especially as I know it will mean I'll have to then get the higher price Hong Kong releases in the future just to be complete!). I haven't bothered with the additional box/coin either. I'd have no room and Masterpieces are large enough as they are! |

Finally despatched! Graham, presuming yours is en route too now? Reading most of the TFW2005 thread, it seems like a great figure. Some of the action poses I've seen him in are just great. Guess we've gotta just be careful with the leg plates, spoiler when going into Rodimus Prime's alt mode and hope the foot spring is ok. ps tracking from Hong Kong/Frankie can be done here. |

According to Parcelforce, MP Rodders left the local depot at 01:00 this morning... it could well turn up this afternoon! Looks like it sailed through HMRC without stopping!

Toyz and Games have received coins and Rodimus bags with their shipment. They have sent the coins out with orders but have kept the bags and some other stuff they did not name for Autoassembly. So that means on Friday when I get given mine it will have the Coin.

Masterpiece Rodimus Prime is just lovely! Lots of fun, and lots of little gadgets as befitting a Masterpiece toy. The trailer even has a bit of Automorph, which I didn't know and I just about sh*t myself when it sprang open! The only things I'm not so keen on are the spindly, skeletal robot fingers. But they hold his guns no problem. And the combining guns are awesome! And I love his goggles!  I haven't reviewed a Transformers toy properly for about six months, but this guy may well get me out of retirement! edit: I called Parcelforce now that the package is with them and the lady on the phone gave me the charge (£15.97, £8 of which was their charge, so not too bad). I explained that I couldn't pay yet as I only have the tracking number, not the payment reference. She checked to see if it had been generated yet, which it had. She gave me the reference number, I went online, paid and then got to choose when the parcel gets delivered. So we now wait for Wednesday.

Oh wow. Only had a chance to go from Robot to Hot Rod vehicle mode, but didn't have any problems. Transformation was actually fairly intuitive (without looking at the instructions), so no complaints, very happy with him. Not sure about the trailer yet though...

Hello and welcome to the forum. Hasbro US have said they're releasing the Hot Rod portion of this set, without the trailer, but probably with a Targetmaster, in the US this year: Problem solved. TFCC new magazine confirms Hasbro will be releasing MP Hot Rod, missing the trailer. So I'll grab the Masterpiece and maybe grab a Hot Rod later if the price isn't to unreasonable. Andy I'm guessing that'll mean it's another TRU exclusive and thus has a good chance of being a TRU exclusive here like the superb Grimlock was. Watch this space..... |

The silver paint/plastic on Hasbro Rodimus Prime is horrible. And since when was Rodimus Prime a Targetmaster without a trailer? Name is wrong. Although he does have the matrix, so erm, yeah, the Hasbro set is confused imo.
