Like Pinwig I am frequently gripped by The Fear with high-end Transformers, and always use instructions. Generations etc I'll have a go at, but my transformation powers weak and I usually have to give the instructions a quick scan.

I have a few that I have never attempted to change, MP Megs, ROTF Prime, because of all the Fear that has been spread of them, but generally only use instructions for 3p stuff as to make sure I don't damage it.

A lot of the stuff I buy is from eBay and most of the older stuff comes without instructions. Now there's plenty of resources online for instruction sheets and videos but in an attempt to get more intuitive with it I'm trying to do more without instructions. Also some of the black and white instruction leaflets are useless. There's been a couple that I've struggled with (I'm looking at you PlayStation Prime and Nightwatch Prime) but some have felt like an achievement. ROTF Voyager Demolishor and Deluxe Rampage came in hilariously mistransformed bot modes that I got back into alt mode without instructions. Scout Class Wheelie, Sonar & Depthcharge and Divebomb & Ransack came mistransformed but they were less of a challenge given their size. We've all heard the horror stories about ROTF leaders Prime & Jetfire (and most of you have even lived it) and Mixmaster so what's been your biggest no-instruction accomplishment? Did you get DOTM Ultimate Prime to Power Up Mode? Or maybe ROTF Supreme Devastator to combined mode? I've rolled this together with a couple of other similarly themed threads on using instructions and difficult to TF toys. It also includes a poll G set up YEARS ago! I shouldn't really laugh but that review had me in knots. I've got an AOE Deluxe Drift that doesn't fit together in vehicle mode (which is a shame because it's the only mode he looks good in) and every time I think I have it the panels tease me for a second before pinging out and bloating up like a fat guy that's been holding his gut in.
