Case Files 25 cover and contents: westfieldcomics.com/comic-books/Judge-Dredd-Complete-Case-Files-Vol-25-SC/15061082Storywise that's The Pit: True Grot (970-999) The Pit: Unjudicial Liasons (970-999) The Pit: Last Rites (970-999) The Pit: Declaration of War (970-999) The Pit: Bongo War (970-999) Dead Reckoning (1000-1006) Return To The Hottie House (1007) and One Breath (3.16) Lethal Weapon (3.17) The Wounded (3.17) Control (3.18) Web (3.19) A close look at the accompanying text reveals it doesn't quite match the contents of the volume: the text, also on Amazon, insinuates that 1009 Death of a Legend should be in the book. My eyes are dim, I cannot see: shop.2000adonline.com/products/judge_dredd_the_complete_case_files_25So loose Web (3.19) from above but add: Awayday (1008) Death of a Legend (1009) My Brilliant Career (1010) Question of Sport (1011) The Rise and Fall of Chair Man Dilbert (1012-1013) The Pack (1014-1016) Darkside (1017-1028) VERY pleased with that.

Excellent example of good cover design on this week's 2000ad. Clear, striking image with fine use of colour to make it pop on a shelf. Catches the eye from ten paces in a newsagent.

The Dark Justice Hardcover was waiting for me when I got home. The story is better for being collected, as we suspected it would be, but the issues outlined originally are still there. Wagner even acknowledges the Dark Judges weakness in his intro.
Presentation is good, and at original size which is nice but that then means it doesn't match the Trifecta HC. A larger format though will make any futere Dredd HCs more tempting though.

Dredd Mega Collections 15-18 Announced as well:
Issue 16 – Judge Dredd: Doomsday for Dredd (Vol 42)
A mega-epic so big it has had be split between two volumes, 1999′s Doomsday Scenario comes to the Mega Collection! In the volume concentrating on Dredd, Orlok the Assassin arrives in the city with a plan to kidnap the lawman and take him back to East-Meg, where he will stand trial for war crimes. Meanwhile, crimelord Nero Narcos is making moves to wipe out the Judges forever with an army of robots… Escape with this volume, written by John Wagner, and featuring art from Carlos Ezquerra, Cam Kennedy, Simon Davis, Neil Googe, Mick McMahon and other legends.
Issue 17 – Judge Dredd: Oz (Vol 31)
Skysurf champion and hero of the people Marlon ‘Chopper’ Shakespeare breaks free from incarceration and escapes to Oz, where Supersurf 10 is being held. Meanwhile, a mysterious new enemy appears in the Big Meg calling itself the Judda – what links does it have with Justice Department’s past? Written by John Wagner and Alan Grant, this epic story features art by Steve Dillon, Brendan McCarthy, Garry Leach, Barry Kitson, and many more, plus there’s an exclusive interview with Brendan McCarthy!
Issue 18 – Judge Dredd: Day of Chaos – Endgame (Vol 50)
The events that started in Day of Chaos: The Fourth Faction come their shocking finale, with an entire city in flames as citizens run riot, infected with the Soviet Chaos Bug, and the Judges struggling to cope. Could this be the city’s final days? John Wagner writes one of the most explosive Dredd mega-epics ever, with art from Colin MacNeil, Henry Flint, Ben Willsher, Edmund Bagwell and Dave Taylor. Plus, take a special look at MC-1′s attempts to rebuild itself after its many catastrophes.

I will pick up that Day of Chaos volume. Oz is an easy pass: words cannot express how much I dislike the Chopper character!

I think of Oz as a story about Dredd clones with a tangent about a random perp!
While I don't have the hatred of Chopper you do, I much prefer the Judda storyline in Oz.

Stonking start to Enceladus part 2.
Went back and read all of part 1 last night and realised:
A) Henry Flint drew Maitland as Bachmann all the waythrough - whoops!
B) The Sovs have Sinfield - this won't end well.

None of the recurring villain do it for me.
I haven't read Tour of Duty yet. It's not in the library system so I'll pick it up if it appears in the Hachette partwork series.

Fair enough. I'll be interested to know where your view of PJ's use there is as he's more central to the plot than Dark Justice but still a part in a larger whole.

I see IDW's ongoing stopped a couple of months ago. Have they stopped doing Dredd now completely?
I've been reading up to date recently. Decided as there's no jump on point this time of year to read the last set of complete stories and keep going. So for once I'm right up to this week. Dredd is great at the moment. I like the way the Enceladus epic is being broken up by other stories. Every issue is a treat. Helium is a proper Edgington/D'Israeli delight and it's nice to see the bold colouring back we don't get with Stickleback. Absalom is fun for the dialogue but I'm still not engaging with Jaeger or the other one I can't even remember the name of.

No, they are doing a soft relaunch shortly.
Ulises Farinas is writing (or co-writing) and Dan McDaid is on art.

Just downloaded 1942, having discover the new prog is available from midnight a few weeks ago.
If you've read last week's you probably had some idea that he was coming but one of my favourite Dreddverse characters shows up at the end of this issue!

He's appeared in colour once before, in the final episode of Trifecta.
Henry Flint actually drew his very first appearance in Prog 1389.
As we've seen previously he likes the snow. I wonder if there's a link?

Speaking of links, I'm wondering if Helium is going to fit into something else. The big ship stuff is reminiscent of Leviathan.
