Hi all, I was browsing the Amazon UK site for post-Christmas bargains when I spotted a Red Sunstreaker repainted as Sideswipe. It is a clear homage to the Diaclone original, but I'm surprised that I have not heard about this figure earlier. Does anyone know if this is an official repaint or a fan custom? |

Yeah. That's just mistransformed.
Now what I SHOULD have done when faced with a deluge of Sunstreakers and Sideswipes was to buy an extra one of each and swap the fists and heads to get a Tigertracks and Diaclone Sunstreaker. Boo.

Ahhh.. I see what they've done now. Thanks guys. It should be simple to pop the head off - Sunstreaker's head feels like it is on a ball joint. While looking for further info, I came across pictures taken by someone who has done the head swap. |

Is there a good version of Jazz in the Universe 'full' size range? And if not, is there one in another range that would look good alongside Universe Hound, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker etc?

Although if someone can find a better option or wants to turn one of the original versions of the toy into Jazz I have a heap of reproduction Botcon Jazz heads. And that is one very nice Jazz sculpt. The attendee repaint makes a fantastic Actionmaster Rad and doesnt have silly graffiti. Andy |

A Classics Jazz is in much need. Shattered Glass is more 'Classicy' than the movie mold, I reckon, costs a kidney though.

I'm not sure if the painted windows will be popular, it might bring down the price on the original a little but as long as the up grade armour is on the horizon prices are going to stay high I think.
Is that Cyclonus any different from the original universe one? I quite like Galvatron .

Last years recolour of Universe Silverbolt into Skyfall [ Skyjack] has been given a fanmade upgrade by Venksta over on tfw2005! I got myself a kit, which is a new head, 2 visors [yellow and red] plus a couple of new rifles, and it does wonders for the figure. Perfectly timed with the whole Botcon G2 stuff. High quality head mould, I'd definitely recommend it. Just need to replace the logo on his shoulder for a G2 one. Here's some pics I took. Keep an eye on his Renderform website for upcoming releases. He's doing a new head for Blaster [Cybertron Soundwave recolour] and Darkwind and possibly Cliffjumper. Phil, the other item is just a collector card with a small comic on the back which kinda reveals he'll be making a new head for Darkwind. |

I don't remember seeing Skyfall before. I like him. The kit improves it, too. What a shame Hasbro just slap a new paint job on these days rather than remoulding their toys.
