Round 1 was the Poster Competition: these have been kept and will be scanned in. Matt went out but was reprived when Ken had to leave.
Round 2 was performance art: Matt & Phil went out but Matt was reprieved by the chairman despite Phil having to go after two other performmances that between them stole all his act
Round 3 was song. I may have unintentionally sabotaged Mr Marshall's song. He did however walk away with Straxus.

Thanks, Phil, and especially to Liz for providing fuel to power the mighty weekend.
Yes - Andy, Ralph and I sat on a train in Newport station for 45 minutes before deciding to get out and get a taxi to Cardiff. Arrived just too late to order food at my local pub, so had a walk round my local nature reserve and settled for pigs in blankets and croquette spuds from my freezer - with HP Guinness sauce. Then a screening of 'A Shot in the Dark' and exposure to the wonders of Transformers Mugen.
This morning, walked the pair into the city centre and abandoned them to their fate while I went to work. They're on their own now!

Doo we have a nominated Pub? Probably stick with the Pyke on Charing Cross Rd. It's nearby and a wetherspoons so fairly cheap food and drink. Does play terrible music though, so if that's too loud can move to the Spice of Life a few doors down. |

Between one thing and another I have been semi-incommunicado after Swincon but I thought I would drop into the thread and just say what a fantastic time it was. As ever Phil and Liz were wonderful hosts, and the trip itself was full of the usual fun and madness. Add to that the deliciously demented lunacy that was Strive for Straxus and the visit to Aldbourne and it is was an excellent weekend.
It was nice to be able to get together with folk in London on the Wednesday as well - my only regret was that I could not stay longer as I had to get back to the realms of Surrey, not necessarily a straightforward task after rush hour.... But nevertheless it was very nice to see James, Jaymz and Richard again.
